He is the founder, owner and principal engineer of Electrical Audio, a recording studio complex in Chicago. In 2018, Albini estimated that he had worked on several thousand albums during his career. He has had major influence on the development of genres such as noise rock, post-hardcore and math rock. All the while, Albini combined a lifelong love of music with a fascination with Poker. He started playing poker when his great grandmother taught him in 1969 and has been playing ever since. He recently won a WSOP bracelet in 2022.
