RM E44 Transcending Pain and Suffering Through Christ
Do you find yourself doing anything possible to avoid pain? If so, you're not alone.
The problem is that happiness does not come from avoiding pain, rather it comes from trying to find meaning in the pain that we inevitably experience in life.
Join us as we talk about how to transcend pain and suffering through Jesus Christ with therapist Ron Squire.
Ron uses his extraordinary story of falling off a cliff while on a p-day excursion on his mission in Puebla, Mexico and its aftermath to teach powerful principles about how to find meaning in pain.
Quoting Jesus Christ, Carl Jung, Victor Frankl, C.S. Lewis, and even Wesley from The Princess Bride, Ron provides deep insights that you will not want to miss.

RM E42 Righteous Women and the Power of the Priesthood
“Often, we women don’t realize that the power through which we accomplish ‘much good’ in our callings and in our homes is an expression of priesthood power. As a matter of fact, all the good that is done in the world is done through God’s power. . . . Knowing that women have access to that priesthood power strengthens us to be able to do what is asked in whatever responsibilities or assignments are ours.”
Jean B. Bingham, “Endowed with Power” (Brigham Young University Women’s Conference, May 2019)
In the talk “The Keys and Authority of the Priesthood,” Elder Dallin H. Oaks states, “We are not accustomed to speaking of women having authority of the priesthood in their Church callings, but what other authority can it be?”
Reyna Aburto (former 2nd Counselor in the General Relief Society Presidency, Institute teacher) Kathryn Davis (Institute teacher and host of the Magnify Podcast from Deseret Book) and Stephanie Kelly (Institute teacher), all current teachers at the Utah Valley Institute, discuss the power of the priesthood and how it applies to both men and women. Using quotes from current prophets and church leaders, these sisters will open your eyes to the strength and power God gives to all of His children who make and keep covenants with Him.

RM E38 "We Have Been Made Instruments in the Hands of God"
Guy Johnson (teacher and leader at the Utah Valley Institute) joins Brian and Sean to talk about being an instrument in the hand of God. He uses the statement in Alma 26:3 "And this is the blessing which hath been bestowed upon us, that we have been made instruments in the hands of God to bring about this great work" to remind returned missionaries that God made them into instruments while on their mission and wants to continue to use them throughout their lives to do His work.
