After growing up right by Glacier National Park and being forced to head up into the mountains with my family every weekend, I got out of the Treasure State as soon as I could. It wasn't until I had traveled the world (over 50 countries!) that I realized how essential it was to explore nature and how it could transform. Getting outside helped me battle an eating disorder by helping me realize it was more important to view my body as how it allowed me to hike amazing mountains rather than how it looked. I kayaked down the Amazon in Peru, hiked to the Everest Base Camp, and ran into a bear in my home park of Glacier. It also gave me the confidence to start my own blog and business so I could help others make the most of their time outdoors. In order to achieve that mission, I set out to provide information that people actually need to know when they visit national parks, set out on the trail, and how to follow Leave No Trace principles when they do. I also started a Facebook group where I could help those looking to escape the 9-5 find work that gets them out and that they could find more meaningful.
