December 30th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Electric Vehicles
It’s December 30th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now.------Today is the final episode of our five part series this week on the Dirty Green Revolution. Over the past week, we’ve talked about solar panels, wind turbines, and the batteries that store and distribute their energy. But, as the facts make clear, none of that stuff is clean, green, or renewable at all, despite what proponents might say. It all comes with some pretty horrible costs. And that’s why we call it Dirty Green Energy.Well today we’re wrapping up the series with the one thing that will touch us all profoundly about this Dirty Energy Revolution. And that’s Electric Vehicles. And that’s because over the past several months, the States of California, New York, Washington and others have passed laws saying that if you want to buy a new car starting in the year 2035, it must be electric. There will be no new, gas powered cars ever sold again in those states after that year. And it’s not just these states. Some car manufacturers are agreeing to that deadline it too. General Motors, for instance, has announced that they’ll stop building gas powered cars by 2035.So, folks, we have to talk about this. As consumers, yes, but also as a country. We have to understand whether we should embrace Electric Vehicles or should we do whatever it takes to stop or slow that industry down until we can address the very dirty facts about these cars.------Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief.Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. December 29th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Renewable Energy Batteries, Part 2.
It’s December 29th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now.------Today is Part IV of our Series on Dirty Green Energy — Or as some might say, “renewable energy” or “clean energy.” But always we here at the PDB are asking, “How clean or green is this stuff - really?”Well, so far we’ve discovered that solar panels are not clean or green. They use Chinese slave labor and lots of coal energy to create polysilicon. And we know that wind energy is very dirty too. It’s killing America’s national bird — the bald eagle — but the federal government won’t tell us how many. How odd. Then of course we have to talk about the batteries that store and distribute the dirty green power that comes from solar and wind. Well, yesterday, we talked about the Dirty Minerals that go inside those batteries. And as we now know — Lithium and Cobalt in particular — are very dirty for America: they have to be mined in other countries, and in some cases, the people mining are little children, some only six years old.Today we’re looking at the next, dirty step in the battery process. We gotta explore the refining, the manufacturing, the life, and the ultimate death of these batteries. But before we get going, let’s remind ourselves of the goal of this Dirty Green Energy Series. It is not to degrade solar or wind or batteries because they deserve some sort of unique or targeted prosecution for their sins. Instead, it’s inform ourselves that Green Energy isn’t green at all, but rather very dirty, and we need to hold that industry to the same standards as we do for traditional forms of energy like oil, gas, and coal.------Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief.Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. December 28th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Renewable Energy Batteries, Part 1
It’s December 28th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now.------Welcome back to Part III of this week’s updated and refreshed series on Dirty Green Energy. Others might call it Renewable Energy, or Clean Energy. But not us, not here. That’s because we’re setting aside the spin and agendas, and instead we’re sticking to the facts. And it turns out, the facts and data say there’s nothing clean or green about the two issues we’ve already covered: solar and wind energy.Today we’re going to talk about batteries. Ah, but as it turns out, we need two different briefs on how dirty these things are. First we’ll tackle the minerals inside those batteries, and then — in tomorrow’s brief — we’ll talk about the dirty process of refining and manufacturing these batteries. But before we begin: a reminder. The goal of this series is to remind ourselves of one very important and often ignored fact: every form of energy comes with a cost. Whether that be environmental, humanitarian, national security, or reliability. And we all know that’s true for traditional forms of energy like natural gas and oil. That’s why the media and politicians like to call it Dirty Oil or Dirty Coal. But we rarely if ever hear about those dirty costs related to solar, wind, and electric vehicles. Why is that? Hmm. Odd. Well here on the PDB we’re going to do what others won’t. We’re going to talk about facts and then let you decide whether it’s dirty or clean, and whether it’s smart for America to adopt this industry for its energy future.------Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief.Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. December 27th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Wind Farms
It’s December 27th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now.------It’s day two of Dirty Green Energy — that’s this week’s updated and refreshed five part series looking at what many folks might otherwise know as Renewable Energy. And we’re focused on this issue for one simple reason: Whether you like it or not, America is radically changing. We are being forced to drop oil, gas, and coal for things like solar, wind, and batteries to store their power. And that’s because proponents of this energy revolution say that climate change is an existential crisis. And Renewable or Green energy will help stop it or even reverse it.But is that true? Yesterday we talked about Solar Energy and as it turns out, it is not clean, green, or renewable. It’s very dirty. That doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t buy it — that’s your choice. But know you know much more of the truth, and so you can purchase or support Dirty Green Solar Panels with your eyes wide open. Well that was yesterday. Today we are talking about wind energy. So what do you think: are we going to find more dirty green facts about that wind energy? Oh yes, my friends, such much dirty to discuss.------Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief.Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. December 26th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Solar Panels
It’s December 26th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now.------I’ve got an update, my friends. A Dirty Green Update. For folks new to the podcast, you might not know what that is. But I bet you’ve heard about Green Energy, or Renewable Energy.Yes, we’re talking about solar panels and wind turbines. Plus the batteries that store and distribute all of that energy. And of course who could forget electric vehicles in this Green Revolution! But — and there’s always a but — how green is that green energy? That’s not a question we hear asked much is it? Instead, we hear about dirty oil, dirty coal, and dirty natural gas. The argument goes that they’re all dirty because of their terrible environmental records. Their ties to foreign dictators. And, of course, their causing of climate change. But what about Green Energy? Is it really green, clean, or renewable? Well that’s what we’re digging into all this week. It’s an update and a refresh on my five part series of whether this new energy revolution is really the picture of purity that we are so often told / or rather are there dirty secrets that people would prefer we not talk about. ------Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief.Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. Turns out you just have a very busy brain. I’ll explain that great excuse.Later, we close out the podcast with my observation on Joe Biden’s Christmas message from yesterday. I think he’s missing something very important about the state of the country. ------Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief.Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. It’s December 22nd. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now.------A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world.First, we’ve got updates on the War in Ukraine which will leave us asking, when will this war ever end? I’ve got some answers. Some of us might reach for a vitamin or supplement to help us heal up a little bit faster. But I’ll explain why that might not be a good idea.Later, we close out the podcast with an update about Joe Biden’s billion-dollar commitment to Africa that he made last week. It now includes money for sustainable safaris.------Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief.Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices.
