Attachment, Dissociation, Complex Trauma and EMDR with guest Melissa Parks
This is one of my favorite interviews I have gotten to do! We talked about structural dissociation, CPTSD, polyvagal theory, attachment, and how all those pieces come together in EMDR. Here is Melissa's bio and where to find more of her work!
Melissa is a licensed therapist in private practice in the state of South Carolina. She has been practicing for 17 years this year and she specializes in working with adults with complex trauma and couples. She is certified in EMDR and can provide consultation for therapists pursuing EMDR certification. She has had several advanced trainings that inform her work and some of her favorites include Attachment Focused EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, to name a few. She can be found on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok @melissaparkssays
