What kind of family is God and what kind of family did He design us to be? Jesus’ whole mission, of course, was to reconcile us back to the Father and restore us to their divine family. We often say that each person is made in the image of God. This is true. But if you look at this verse, you have God describing Himself in the plural--let US--and then making mankind in the plural--male and female--as his image.
