Becoming unified is what we are striving for. This means we need to die to some of our individual qualities. We tend to be selfish and always want something in return for our love. Spencer walks through 1 Corinthians at the 2021 marriage conference, and shared Paul’s example of biblical love. Love is strong, selfless, and serves. It is patient and bears all things. Does this describe your love towards your spouse?You can’t create this love inside of you, it has to be the work of the Holy Spirit. If we aren’t careful in our marriages, we will let unmet expectations grow into bitterness.The cure for this is Biblical forgiveness. Zach Mabry | Be Strong Men's Conference | BreakoutZach spoke to husbands, fathers, and young men on how to be a godly man at our recent Be Strong men’s conference. Jesus is our ultimate example. Adam was created to work and keep the garden, but he failed in this. We can learn from Adam and rest in the truth that whatever he was created for (and failed in), Jesus fulfilled. If we want to grow and be godly men then we need to be intentional in our pursuit of Christ. We won’t naturally drift towards holiness.
