In Numbers 25, Israel became comfortable and submit to the cultural norms of the pagan people around them. Today, culture is making a mockery of the Biblical sexual ethic that God created us for. The issue is not desire or attraction, but an idolatrous heart.Believers, Christ is the source of your identity. The roots we put down here have eternal implications. Society is going to sell you the easiest path, and we quickly become comfortable and tolerant in our sin. Men, we were not created for safety. We are ambassadors for Christ. You are not a victim of your sin but a conqueror in Christ. Brody Holloway | Pure and Holy 2022 | Saturday Morning Zacchaeus’s life was changed by salvation.  He wasn’t perfect after he started following Jesus, but he never went back to being the man in control of his own life.  He gave every good and bad part of himself over to Jesus in repentance.  As Christians, our lives should show evidence of our repentance.  Our desire will change, we will be obedient to God and His word, and our conscience will be led by Him, not our flesh.  Sanctification is a maturing process.  Get serious about it.  Submit yourself to being obedient to the Lord everyday of your life.References : Luke 19 Hebrews 5:14Romans 8:1 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 Learn more about our student and adult conferences at Swoutfitters.com. P.S. Brody Holloway | Pure and Holy 2022 | Friday Night Jesus doesn’t do anything at random.  His mission here on Earth was planned and thoroughly thought out.  He came to Earth to seek out and to save the lost.  The story of Zacchaeus is a perfect example of this.  When Jesus found him and called him, he responded in obedience.  He no longer had to seek out worldly things that brought him momentary joy, but rather was filled with the fully satisfying joy that comes with salvation.  As believers, God calls us to always be on mission wherever we are.  We must take the love and hope of the Gospel to lost people.Questions to think about : 1. Have you ever experienced conviction? 2. Have you ever truly repented?  3. Are you going to someone or something in this world, other than Jesus to find your joy? But now, we don't obey our old wants or listen to the cheap lie that sinfulness is freedom. The Holy Spirit will change our desires to look like His. We need to stand firm in the Gospel. Trust the Lord with everything in your life, including your sufferings.
