Episode 29 - Heimlich A Laguz Talking Chaos Magic, Heathenry, Runes and Spirits
Welcome to Weird Web Radio! I'm your host, Lonnie Scott. This episode features Heimlich A. Laguz. He and are both co-authors of the Elhaz Ablaze: Compendium of Chaos Heathenry anthology. In fact, Heimlich is the one who created the whole idea of Chaos Heathenry. It was a life saving ideology for me when I found it many years ago. Read my essay in the book and you'll understand more of why I say that. Heimlich and I cover a wide range of topics that include magic, spirits, runes, influences, possession, Odin, and more! You'll find something you love in Elhaz Ablaze's mastermind. You may even find something you hate, and that's okay with Heimlich too. Heimlich A. Laguz has been practicing magic – runic, chaos, and otherwise – since 1996, and has described itself as a Heathen since 1999. An INFJ personality, Laguz is motivated by an endless thirst for growth and mystery, typically with the intention of being able to thereby also support the growth and healing of others. Laguz’s academic and career foci lie in arts philosophical, psychological, and therapeutic. Laguz also has a passionate interest in progressive politics and has been a dedicated advocate for a range of social justice causes. Laguz loves to make music, meditates daily, and venerates various deities with vigorous devotion. As the image suggests, Laguz readily patrols the limits of its comfort zone. Real quick! Episode 26 - Heather Greene Talking Witchcraft, Witches In Film, and Pagan Journalism
Welcome to Weird Web Radio! I'm your host, Lonnie Scott! This episode features Heather Greene. You may know her as the Publisher of the Wild Hunt Blog. Any and all Pagans, Heathens, and Polytheists should check it out for news that really does matter to them. I know I do. The Wild Hunt always needs funding. It's important to help when and where you can. Please consider heading over there to give a coin or three. I want to make a note about The Wild Hunt here. I'm very aware of recent controversy. I'm also aware of steps Heather has taken to address the problem. We do not dig into it here. My show is about exploring the mindset, tools, and techniques that can help you grow into your paranormal and occult journey. I share my own along the way, and I interview my guests to know what makes them so amazing. Heather is also the author of Bell, Book, and Camera. This information packed trip down memory lane of films that are tied to the Witch and women in our culture. Get this book! It's a section of history that should not be overlooked. I made a point to address the audio problems on my side. I don't know what it was or what caused it. I did all I could to clean it up. Investigation into the problem is under way. I apologize for my own audio not being the best possible. I also addressed our conversation about Pagan Fitness in the show. We hoped to inspire people to just get active in some way. Move your body. Sweat a little. It matters. We failed to mention that we support you no matter what you're physical abilities may or may not be. Your body is yours. Do all you can to use it wisely, and never let anyone make you feel less than the amazing consciousness you are regardless of your abilities. Do what you can, when you can, where you can. That's all we really are urging anyone to do. You can find Heather's book on Amazon and other fine booksellers. You can also find more about Heather on her website https://www.heathergreene.net/ Would you like to hear Heather and I talk about the dead, Paris, Paganism in France, Tarot, Jim Morrison, The afterlife, and more? Episode 22 - Chiron Armand Talking Ancestors, Spirit, and Culture
Welcome to Weird Web Radio! I'm your host, Lonnie Scott. This episode features Chiron Armand. You may also know him simply as Khi. (Rhymes with Sky). This episode was a lot of fun. Khi and I are definitely kindred spirits. It was refreshing to talk to someone who is extremely skilled in his various traditions and see how much we have in common. The magical community really could be more of a community if we would all see this simple truth. That's my opinion. Khi goes in depth in all of his answers. Even the bonus audio is more like a Part Two of the whole discussion. Khi's bio says, Chiron Armand, founder of Impact Shamanism, is an interdisciplinary artist and spirit-initiated shaman holding additional initiations in such New World traditions as Haitian Vodou (Houngan Asogwe), Brazilian Quimbanda (com licensa), and the Unnamed Path.
