Can the government force us to make specific medical decisions?  Recently, the idea of medical freedom has started to gain a lot of traction in the culture. The COVID pandemic opened the eyes of many when it comes to government interference with private health decisions. Twila Brase is a registered nurse and the President and co-founder of Citizens' Council for Health Freedom. Her latest book is called “Big Brother in the Exam Room: The Dangerous Truth About Electronic Health Records.” Twila defines two aspects of health freedom as the public health sphere and the private exam room, and how we are in danger of losing our freedom and privacy in both realms.

Why am I here? What is God's call in my life? These are some of the existential questions that humans face. Understanding God’s call helps us develop a purposeful, intentional life of faith. On today’s episode of The City of God, we discuss finding purpose with Os Guinness, author of the classic book, “The Call: Finding and Fulfilling the Central Purpose of Your Life”. Rosaria Butterfield is a best-selling author and speaker who is well known in the Christian space. A former professor of English and Women’s Studies at Syracuse University, she was an advocate for the  LGBTQ agenda. Rosaria was eventually led to saving faith in Christ and has since become a bold witness for her faith. Rosaria’s latest book is called  “Five Lies of Our Anti-Christian Age”

Dr. Sean McDowell is an apologist, author, speaker, and host of the “Think Biblically” podcast. Sean is an Associate Professor in the Christian Apologetics program at the Talbot School of Theology at Biola University and the Co-Author of “Evidence for Jesus: Timeless Answers for Tough Questions”. He served as the head football coach at William & Mary, NC State, The University of Arkansas, the University of South Carolina, The University of Minnesota. In 1988 Coach Holtz led the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a National Championship. Coach Holtz is recognized as the only coach in NCAA history to lead six different programs to bowl games. Apart from his immaculate coaching career, he is a brilliant leader and a man of great principles. During a congressional hearing last week, presidents from Harvard, MIT and the University of Pennsylvania came under fire for their testimony regarding the rise of anti-Semitism on college campuses. The three women remained evasive and dismissive when asked if calls for the genocide of Jews violated their universities policies on bullying and harassment. One of those testifying, Harvard president Claudine Gay, also had allegations brought against her on multiple instances of plagiarism throughout her academic career. Dr. Carol M. Swain is a political scientist and legal scholar whose work was plagiarized by Claudine Gay, among other scholars. On this episode of The City of God, Dr. Swain calls out the Harvard president for plagiarizing her work, as well as denounces the practices of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Radical gender ideology targets children and wreaks psychological and medical havoc. Many have been stunned over the past few years to discover the damage this ideology inflicts on people. And at the root of this gender ideology is a lie, a complete rejection of Biblical truth. Sonja Shaw is the President of the Board of Education of The Chino Valley Unified School District in California. She recently made headlines for protecting parental rights as well as protecting children by passing a mandatory gender identity disclosure policy for her school district. Sonja has since received many death threats for passing this policy and her school board is currently being sued by the California Attorney General for this policy. We talk with Sonja on what lead her to run for school board, and why she thinks parental rights is such an important issue today.

Wendy Wright has been fighting for Christians across the globe for years and currently serves as the president of Christian Freedom International. Also, she gives us an update on The Mayflower Church, a Church that fled China in order to freely express their Christian faith.
