Prior to his coaching he played for one club, Whakarewarewa and one province in New Zealand, Bay of Plenty, for whom he played 113 games.Clayton has enjoyed a lot of success over a number of years with different teams, from Wellington U19 team that won the first Jock Hobbs Trophy through to a successful year this year with the Chiefs making the final of Super Rugby Aotearoa and has enjoyed success leading the Maori All Blacks.I love his take on culture and how he brings that to life in the teams he works with, particularly the Maori All Blacks, it sounds like an environment I would love to be part of.If you like the podcast please share it with your friends and it would be great if you could leave a rating on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you listen as we would love to grow our community.Send us a textSupport the showhttps://talkingperformancepod.com/

Glenn Pocknall, Episode 55 - Talking Performance
This week I chat with Wellington Firebirds Coach, Glenn Pocknall. Glenn has progressed through the coaching ranks with intentionality, a strong desire to learn, challenge himself and be the best he can be.Glenn didn't play first class cricket and like RJ Smith said is a great example of a performance coach not having a performance background but has the different skill sets that are required to coach at the top level. Pockers has shown that through deliberate focus, patience, perseverance, resilience, learning mindset and hard work that good people can be outstanding coaches. If you like the podcast please share it with your friends and it would be great if you could leave a rating on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you listen as we would love to grow our community.Send us a textSupport the showhttps://talkingperformancepod.com/
