Worship was intended to be a huge blessing to foster intimacy with God. But, as with any good thing, the spirit of religion has caused too many to be turned off or actively repelled by worship. We should patently resist allowing religion make worship or any spiritual discipline another demand or requirement for righteousness. We should also make sure that we worship God as He truly is and not misrepresent Him as distant, separate, condemning, angry, and loveless. It is our birthright to experience overflowing intimacy and healing that flows through all of the spiritual disciplines, including worship. God is Love and as such He radically loves all His kids. . Jesus loves us with the same love Papa loves Him! Papa loves each one of us with the same passionate love that He has for Jesus! No one is outside the love of God, because God has created all His kids in His image in love. Scripture says that God’s ways are higher than our ways. He is Love and His ways are always of love. Mike Zenker began pastoral ministry in 1990. Mike became the Sr. Pastor of Hope Fellowship Community Church in Waterloo, Ontario, in December 2003. Mike also launched what is now ‘Growing In Grace Ministries Canada’ in 2006, which is a discipleship teaching and training ministry. Having been part of a number of different church denominations, Mike refers to himself as ‘multi-tribal’. This has given Mike tremendous exposure to multi-faceted expressions of how believers respond to Jesus Christ. This has opened doors to serve as a Chaplain of a local fire department, nursing home, and provide loving care to those who are grieving through funeral homes. Married in 1990 to Lori, they have three grown children, Noah, Avery, and Simon. Mike’s passion is to ‘dream big’, ‘delight in grace’ and ‘inspire’ others to know who they are in Christ.
