Gospel Gathering: Rich Villodas on Calming Leadership, Part 2

Instead of being a calm presence, our lives and leadership are often marked by reactivity and anxiety. during this talk, we will learn some ways to lead calmly, courageously, and with compassion––in the way of Jesus.
This is a recording of Rich Villodas' June 6th, 2023 talk on Calming Leadership: How we as leaders can be a nonanxious presence in the world that is fractured by anxiety. Villodas spoke to more than 300 pastors and leaders from all around the Portland Metro Area. This is part two.
Rich Villodas is the Brooklyn-born lead pastor of New Life Fellowship, a large multiracial church with more than seventy-five countries represented in Elmhurst, Queens. Rich holds a Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary. He enjoys reading widely, preaching and writing on contemplative spirituality, justice-related matters, and the art of preaching. He's been married to Rosie since 2006 and they have two beautiful children, Karis and Nathan. He has written two books, The Deeply Formed Life and Good and Beautiful and Kind.

Rev. Ron Rolheiser is a Roman Catholic priest and member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. He is a theologian, professor, award-winning author, and serves as president of the Oblate School of Theology. He holds Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Ottawa and Newman Theological College Edmonton and Master’s degrees from the University of San Francisco and University of Louvain, Belgium along with a PhD/STD from the University of Louvain. Apart from his academic knowledge in systematic theology and philosophy, he has become a popular speaker in contemporary spirituality and religion and the secular world. He writes a weekly column that is carried in over 70 newspapers around the world.
