Even though she was married to man out of “obedience” to church teachings, he knew she was gay and they were able to have a good friendship. In the 1970s, Beth was struck by a drunk driver and was thankfully saved with the help of her friends and a good samaritan named Bruce. Out of an overwhelming amount of gratitude to who she felt was her hero, Beth insisted on keeping in contact with Bruce but as her sister’s become fearful of his “creepy” vibes, Beth’s family learns that her hero is actually extremely dangerous.
