How Michelle Turned Her $0 Blog Into a Million Dollar Blog
Pretty much anyone who's ever dipped into the personal finance community has heard about side hustling. Here at His & Her Money, we're huge advocates of entrepreneurship, and we want everyone to know that getting a side hustle (or several!) can be an incredible tool for not just paying off debt and generating extra income, but ultimately achieving financial freedom in the process. Having more income is a powerful asset, and you might even be able to turn your hobbies into cash! On today's episode of The His & Her Money Show, we're so glad to have Michelle Schroeder-Gardner on the show with us! You might know Michelle from MakingSenseOfCents.com, and as well as being a blogger, she's a personal finance expert, wife, and full-time traveler. She started her blog back in 2013 as a hobby, but once she realized she could make a go of it, she paid off a whopping $40,000 in student loan debt, left Corporate America behind, and she and her husband have been making the best of financial freedom ever since! Michelle was working full-time as a financial analyst when she got her first student loan notice in the mail - that was when she realized that she didn't want to be tied down for the next 8 to 12 years paying them off. By now Michelle was following the personal finance community, reading stories of debt smashing success, and it didn't take long to realize that she could do that too! Her first side hustle was mystery shopping, and that was just the beginning. From there, she and her husband found more ways to manage money: eating out less, cutting costs, and of course, side hustling. Michelle credits her success to one course, Elite Blog Academy. We must mention this course only opens once a year and you must get on the waiting list to even be notified of it. FYI- Elite Blog Academy is currently open through Friday, March 9th! Get in the doors before it closes and doesn’t open up until next year. Click here to find out more info. Michelle didn't know much about blogging when she first started, let alone that she could make a living doing it. Her work-life balance involved weekends and later hours, and she even used her vacation days to work on the blog. But hard work paid off: 6 months after she started blogging, she made her first $100; a year after, she was earning roughly $5,000 a month; today, she makes over $1,000,000! Michelle is an incredible wealth of tips, tricks, and advice, from networking and blogging conferences to advertising and making the most of your blog presence online. Her journey is incredible, and yours can be too! Stay at Home Mom Makes $100k Per Month Blogging!
There are few things we champion more than taking up a good side hustle. Whether you're paying off debt, saving up for that dream vacation, or even just looking to profit from a new creative outlet, there are countless ways to generate extra income. And the best part is, sometimes your side hustles can turn into something so much more! We know you've heard about this before, and you might still have your doubts. So keep listening! On today's episode of The His & Her Money Show, things are about to get interesting! We've brought on a great friend and an even MORE amazing blogger, Rosemarie Groner, to share her experiences in the blogosphere and tell us all about her incredible success story. When Rosemarie started her blog, The Busy Budgeter, she had an idea of what she wanted her end goal to be but, just like you, didn't know if she'd succeed. And in 10 months, her readership and income blossomed into a full-time income and beyond, and now she's making $100,000 a month! We'd call that a success! Of course, blogging wasn't the first career Rosemarie envisioned herself having. She was a state trooper for 9 years, but as a wife and mom, due to her crazy unpredictable schedule, she knew she didn't want to do it forever. And when she started a home daycare center, that didn't work out too well either. There had to be a way to replace her full-time income, and suddenly, she found it in a random email for a blogging course. From there, Rosemarie enrolled in Elite Blog Academy (a His & Her Money favorite!), and this was just the beginning. It was a lot of work and dedication, but as her blog grew and grew, Rosemarie realized she was building a six-figure business - as a stay-at-home mom, no less! Find Rosemarie at BusyBudgeter.com, and join her in taking the blogging world by storm! WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE How Rosemarie started her blog and steps she took to make it great Investing in your blog, and why it's important Different ways to generate blog income Staying on track while building your blog and squashing discouragement RESOURCES Elite Blog Academy Thank You for Listening! But by finding a way to stay focused, motivated, and yes, interested, taking control of your financial life might turn out to be a lot easier than you think! On today's episode of The His & Her Money Show, we've got a great one for you! Financial guru, educator, and motivational speaker Ash Cash is joining us for some eye-opening conversation and to get into some of the details of his latest book, The Wake-Up Call: Financial Inspiration From 4:44 + A Step By Step Guide On How To Implement Each Financial Principle.
