Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by Elliot Hasoon. I’ve known Elliot for a number of years and it’s been incredible to see his growth in the industry and his evolution into a world class body transformation coach. I had an incredible chat with Elliot on this podcast as we started off speaking about long bulks and lifestyle weights, to then switching gears and diving deep into some of his past struggles he went through as he was coming up and mastering his craft. I’d urge everyone to listen right to the end as Elliot holds nothing back here, and opens up about topics he’d never spoken about before. A part 2 is definitely in the cards soon! Ep. 83 - The Seven Faces of Online Coaching
On today’s episode, I’m joined by the Hitman as we uncover the biggest missing pieces in an online coach’s toolbox. We dive deep into what we call the Seven Faces of Online Transformation Coaching, and how in order to be an effective, results-producing coach, you need to have the ability to know when/where/how/why you should wear each of the Seven Faces. The true art of coaching has been lost, and along with ‘base knowledge’ and ‘time & miles’ on the gym floor, the third pillar which is lacking is ‘adaptability’, and that’s where these Seven Faces come in. On today’s podcast, we’re going to unlock and discuss the Seven Faces, while introducing the new RNT Online Transformation Mastermind we’re launching in July that surrounds this. We ran a highly successful private cohort earlier this year, and we’re now ready to unleash it to the public! If you’re a coach or trainer, or you’re someone looking to come into our field, you don’t want to miss this episode, the article linked in the show notes, nor the announcement coming on Monday 1st July across our socials. This is a true game changer for mastering the art of coaching. ‘’The emphasiser separates the wheat from the chaff in the coaching industry” Timestamps: 2:31 – The RNT meet up 7:57 – The art of coaching 8:21 – The three layers of coaching 18:22 – Spending time in the gym floor 25:03 – Seven faces of online coaching 28:51 – The Enabler 32:25 – The Strategiser 35:15 – The Trainer 38:00 – The Liberator 42:57 – The Emphasiser 51:05 – The Executor 52:15 – The Problem Solver 55:23 – Being a ‘professional friend’ 56:46 – Learning the seven faces in the RNT Online Coaching Mastermind Thanks so much for listening! Ep. 82 - Fixing Pain, Fighting Injuries & The Importance Of Movement w/ Dan Baines
Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by osteopath, anatomy teacher and overall movement geek, Dan Baines. Dan’s one of the most knowledgeable and interesting therapists I’ve come across over the years, and he’s helped myself and many of our clients overcome roadblock issues over the years. I first came to know about Dan through a recommendation in 2015 when I was struggling with SI joint pain, and couldn’t get to the root cause of it all. Through many of his different techniques including P-DTR, NKT, reflexology, anatomy in motion, and his unique method of blending them all together, he was able to get me pain free almost immediately. Ever since, he’s been one of my top go-to guys in London. In today’s episode, In today’s episode, we discuss his theories in more depth, the biggest issues he comes across in the general population, his use of hypnotherapy in rehab, and how you can start being healthier and more pain free from today. ‘’Movement is key” - Dan Baines Timestamps: 1:45 – What triggered Dan to becoming a movement geek 5:59 – Dan’s powerlifting numbers 7:43 – Akash’s injury 8:02 – Dan’s beliefs and methods 15:32 – Diet and inflammation 16:12 – Emotional trauma and injuries 21:00 – Using hypnotherapy in rehab 25:46 – Fight or flight 26:14 – Straight line method 32:37 – Tips for desk jockeys 33:54 – Posture and pain 37:40 – The why behind your why 44:40 – Food stressors 48:20 –Handcuffs exercise 53:26 – What’s next for Dan Baines 56:58 – Rapid fire questions for Dan Thanks so much for listening! Ep. 76 - Hall of Fame | Diksesh Patel – How Diksesh Dropped 50kg At 50 Years Old To Change His Life
This may be one of the most awaited episodes we’ve ever released. It’s very rare that I’m caught speechless during a podcast, and today’s incredible episode with the legend that is Diksesh Patel, he left me with no words not once, but on two separate occasions. Diksesh has been on one incredible journey where’s he’s dropped 50kg at the age of 50, and completely transformed his body and life. Borderline diabetes, gone. Gout, gone. Cholesterol, gone. His health markers are normalised, he’s packed on copious amounts of muscles, and he’s pushed himself harder both physically and mentally more than many are capable of doing. What I really admire about Diksesh is that there’s no excuses with this guy. He runs multiple businesses, is an extremely active father to two boys, and has a very busy social life. But Diksesh knew his why, and in this extremely personal account, he goes deep into his childhood struggles, and candidly shares the emotional journey that comes with transforming your body against all odds. ‘’This isn’t the end of my journey, this is going to continue for the next 50 years. This is chapter one.’’ - Diksesh Patel Timestamps: 1:25 – The emotions of the photoshoot 3:44 – The grind of the final three weeks 4:37 – Systems and structures 8:00 – Why excuses went out the window 11:31 – Taking ownership 13:20 – When did Diksesh’s value system shift? 15:02 – When heath became a priority 17:00 – Health markers today 17:38 – Key health stats 19:47 – Joining RNT 26:15 – Diksesh’s analogies 28:00 – The second wave 32:04 – How Diksesh got to 120kg 33:53 – Childhood struggles & hardships 37:12 – The cooperate world 40:00 – Levi’s laundrette advert 41:27 – The RNT Family 43:25 – Dealing with the scars 45:49 – Becoming a better father 48:08 – Personal development 54:06 – The mental battle of getting lean 1:01:51 – The parallels between running a business and a physical transformation 1:03:54 – Travelling 1:06:14 – What’s next for Diksesh? 1:08:27 – Advice for anyone on their own journey 1:11:51 – Rapid fire questions Thanks so much for listening! I’ve been using Reflex for nearly a decade, with their Micro Whey being one of my favourite whey proteins. It’s grass fed, hormone free, and digests so well compared to most on the market. Check out their full supplement range, including all your transformation basics and plant based alternatives, on https://reflexnutrition.com/ and use PTRNT at checkout for up to 40% off.
