Our guest this week on the Dental Up Podcast is Dr. Andrew Friesen, DDS. Dr. Friesen is a  graduate from the University of Nebraska’s College of Dentistry and is currently practicing in Newton, Kansas at Tippin Dental Group.  He chats with us about creating a family culture in your practice and how he was guided to pursue a dental career by a friend of the family at a young age. We talk about his experiences abroad when he lived in Japan and what influenced him to change his field of studies.   

Our guest this week is Dr. Francisco Darquea, DDS who is a graduate from Brigham Young University with a degree in Bioinformatics. He obtained a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. He completed an Advance Education in General Dentistry at Idaho State University and advanced his training in oral surgery, implant placement and restoration, IV Sedation, Oral Conscious sedation, cosmetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation.

Our guest this week is Dr. Kevin Wheeler, DDS. Surrounded by a family who was heavily involved in Dentistry, he was influenced by them to seek a career in Dentistry. Dr. Wheeler received a Business Degree in Information Systems rather than pursuing a degree in Biology or Chemistry, which most other Dentists obtain. As he was completing his degree, he quickly realized that he didn’t want to work for a big company after graduation, so he refocused and applied to Dental School. Dr. Wheeler applies his Degree in Information Systems in his practice to combine Digital Technology and Dentistry, making his practice one of the most technologically driven practices in the Dental Community.  

Our guest this week is Dr. David Doan, DDS He received his undergraduate degree from UC Irvine and a DDS Degree from the University of California of San Francisco.  He also completed a one year residency program at McCallen Air Force Base in Sacramento.
