As the U.S. marks the second anniversary of the Jan. 6 insurrection, It’s All Journalism is reposting our 2022 interview with Tia Mitchell, the Washington correspondent for The Atlanta Journal Constitution. On Jan. 6, 2021, Tia was in the U.S. Capitol, expecting to cover the actions of several Georgia lawmakers who said they planned to challenge the certification of the 2020 presidential election.
