Zach Thompson, a 3x wrestling state placer at St. Edward’s High School in Lakewood, Ohio, a 4 year college starter, and 12th on the all time win list at Iowa State University.  He comes on the podcast to discuss not starting wrestling until 8th grade, his reaction losing to Jeff Knupp in the 1994 dual meet with Walsh Jesuit, training with Joe Heskett and Cael Sanderson, what drove him to keep wrestling and the impact his teammates/coaching staff’s had on him.
