Eddie Jayne was a 3x state wrestling champion from St. Edwards high school in northeast Ohio, graduate of Penn State, and now teaches physical education at an elementary school in central Ohio.  He comes on the podcast to discuss how he started in wrestling, what his experience was at St. Edwards, the classic rivalry with Walsh Jesuit, how he would he have fared against 4x state champion Willie Wineberg and that he loves coaching kids.

Ashley Brasovan is currently a professional sub-ultra trail/mountain runner for Hoka One One and also has a full time career as an Energy Efficiency/Renewable Energy Consultant residing full time in Golden, CO.  She comes on the podcast to discuss her recent fastest known time of 5 hrs 27 mins (FKT) of running the Four Pass Loop in Aspen, CO, how she is managing during the pandemic, why introverts are such good listeners, and her career in sustainability.

Jewher Ilham is the daughter of Uyghur scholar, Ilham Tohti, an internationally noted moderate voice who was dedicated to bridging the gap between the Uyghur people and the Han Chinese. Jewher arrived in the United States in 2013, following the detention of her father at the Beijing airport, as they were prepared to travel to Indiana University. This was the last time she saw her father. In September of 2014, he was given an unprecedented life sentence based on the writings on his website.

Ben Hatta, is an executive producer that has worked on shows such as The Bachelor, Amazing Race, Hell's Kitchen, and the Netflix documentary Team Foxcatcher. He comes on the podcast to discuss his grandfather introducing the sport of wrestling to Japan in the 1930’s, becoming a high school state wrestling champ for St. Edward’s high school after only starting his senior year, the Walsh/St. Edward’s rivalry, his time at University of Pennsylvania, and his future projects.

Sam Neider  was a 2X state wrestling champion from St. Edward’s high school, 2X All-American wrestler from Northwestern University and the founder of Higher Purpose, a nature-integrated rite of passage for men transitioning into the “2nd half” life.  He comes on the podcast to discuss how he got into wrestling, his take on the Walsh/Ed’s rivalry, his time at Northwestern, and why he decided to sell everything, go mobile with his family which has lead him to his new venture “Higher Purpose.”

Laura Thweatt is a professional runner for Saucony originally from Durango, Colorado.  She comes on the podcast to discuss her 5th place finish at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Atlanta, GA this past February, being coached by Joe Bosshard, what she has been doing during Covid-19,  her love for “The Office” and cooking.

Devon is a runner who runs roads, trails, mountains from distance from 5km to 100 mile.  She has run more than 50 Marathons (including 36 sub 3 hours marathons) and 50 Ultras since 2006, winning and CR a majority.  She comes on the podcast to discuss her recent achievement of running 500km in 10 days, how ultra-running has evolved since she started back in 2006, sponsorships, YouTube videos, and how she and her husband Nathan navigated their bakery M.H. Bread and Butter during the pandemic. 

Sara Vaughn, mid-distance runner, real estate agent, wife, and mother of four earned a spot on the 2017 London World Championships team with a 3rd place finish at the USA Championships in the 1500m. She comes on the podcast to discuss what she has been up to during the pandemic, how she feels about races possibly happening in 2020, and how running is more important than ever right now

Coach John Heffernan is the head wrestling coach for St. Edward’s high school in Lakewood, Ohio. He comes on the podcast to discuss how he got into wrestling, being a State Champion his senior year at St. Ed's, being a 2X All-American at Iowa under legendary coach Dan Gable, the classic Walsh-St. Ed’s rivalry in the 90’s, being an assistant coach under Greg Urbas and how coaching has changed from when he started in 1992 to today.
