In our lives we meet people that seem to be part of our team, helping to expose the distortions in the mind—the unresolved guilt that results in the misuse of memories. We must get in touch with the guilt; it has to be healed piece by piece, through forgiveness.A dream within a dream, within a dream, helps you forget that you are dreaming. The dream is like a maze, but there is an exit! We are the architects of the dream, and everything in the dream is a symbol. Everyone in the dream is a projection of the unconscious and will respond according to the roles we have assigned them.Spirit, through the symbol of mighty companions, is willing to take the elevator down to the depths of the mind to help bring illusions to the light. Locked away in the basement is unconscious guilt, which persists until faced and forgiven. By forgiving the self-blame we come to realize that we have never truly harmed anyone. As we experience the increasing freedom of forgiveness we help others remember they too are dreaming. As the players of the dark dream awaken to the happy dream, they nod in silent recognition. It was just a dream; it seemed so real. We are waking up and going home! The gates that once seemed closed now effortlessly open. We finally see the face of our true Innocence and reunite with Love. The main character really believes that he is a man inside a real world. He has forgotten that it is all a computer simulation; he is playing characters that he himself designed. Through multiple lives he comes to learn to see the patterns that are holding him back. Specialness is the key defense; Spirit must “get him away from her.” She is like a drug, as are his family and friends. In order to cover up his drug of choice he hides himself in addictions, a rebel attitude, and his work. Finally he learns the difference between what is true and what is false. His world begins to unravel and the truth is revealed. A society of men and women, who are deceived from birth, need to discover their true identity in this sci-fi action film. The main characters are joined in a relationship of purpose, in which they have to follow their prompts and become highly intuitive and determined to overcome the ego’s attempts at stopping them from exposing the darkness. It shows the ego’s temptation to go off and build a safe haven, and the Spirit’s call to extend love to everyone by going deep into the mind and flipping the master switch that dismantles the ego’s illusion entirely, allowing the light to shine through and free everyone. Be transported. No longer misdefine the problem. Problems are not specific. Listening to Guidance is meant to lead to Atonement. Obedience to Guidance is essential. Devotion is obedience to Guidance. You bring illusions to Truth by releasing self-concepts. This is going beyond A Course In Miracles. Non-possession. Non-control. Trust in Spirit. Divine Providence. No concern for the world. No issues. No cares. No worries. Dependent on and resting in God's Love.

This is a great movie for getting at the fear of intimacy. It exposes the ego's desire for privacy, the belief in need for privacy versus transparency and openness. There's a great fear of true joining, true intimacy, true sharing and transparency. The fear of the ego is that something in the world will be misused in a destructive way. Is what's being presented in form good or evil, safe or not safe? But this is form versus content. There's no solution in trying to find the right form, the right balance between autonomy and personal freedom, the good of the individual versus what's for the good of society. Both the individual and society are illusions. There is no balance, both are concepts in the mind.

Here at a gross level can the game of human life truly be seen.Everything we do is motivated to maintain a facade, a self-concept. That is why we stay in terrible jobs or in bad relationships. We desire to be right about who we believe we are; we stay “for that slap on the back” that says that you are a good guy, a good gangster, a good father. The greatest con that the ego ever pulled was making you believe that he is you, that his thoughts and feelings are yours.We do not always recognize our mighty companions when they show up; Avi and Zach teach Jake that he is still in prison and that it is his mind that needs to be freed from the game. In the truly practical application of the principles he has learned, they lead him through a series of assignments designed to flush the ego (Mr. Gold) fully into awareness. Mr. Green must give all to have all. And in a truly magnificent elevator scene he recognizes that the voice of fear is not his real identity. Now truly released in a state of forgiveness, nothing can touch him.

Another beautiful movie night with David, this time watching "The Perfect Storm". The opening talk goes for 16 minutes and 18 seconds, at which point we recommend you find a copy of the movie to watch before proceeding with the rest of the talk.Jesus says in the Course about the roadways of the world, "All of them will lead to death." You have to give up hope of searching of happiness where you can never find it. The truth is within. It's not within the body, we know it's in the stillness. There comes a point where you have to go through that big wave of disillusionment, coming to a point of surrender of, "I was wrong". In the journey of this world it does take a turn around, it takes a deep admission to realise that happiness can't be found in the pursuit of "more".
