How To Get Pregnant Naturally With Low AMH/High FSH

Justine Altman joins us today as we're digging into themes we see with low AMH/high FSH. Typically the conventional approach offers very few solutions for these diagnoses as IVF is often not an option and donor eggs are a standard recommendation. What we know after working with couples with low AMH/high FSH is that healing opportunities are regularly missed. When we look at the whole body we can begin to bring the body back into balance so that we can optimize preconception health. I know firsthand how hard it is to go through infertility. I was diagnosed with POF/POI at 28 and had both my kids with donor eggs. Years later I discovered the root cause of my infertility was food sensitivities, gut infections, and chronic stress. Let’s discuss the common themes we see with low AMH/high FSH so that you can learn how to prepare for pregnancy success.   This episode is for you: -You have low AMH, high FSH, POF/POI, or DOR -You want to learn how to fast track your chances of natural pregnancy success before you consider donor eggs -You are ready to dig deeper so that you can address missed healing opportunities   I'm excited to welcome Justine Altman back to the podcast. Justine is a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. She was diagnosed with POCS and struggled with infertility but after taking a functional approach was able to have both her children naturally.   In this episode you'll learn: 1) The connection between food sensitivities and low AMH/high FSH and what you may be getting wrong. Hint – this is for you even if you are already eating a clean diet. 2) You may have been told that your TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) is normal but what about the other thyroid markers? We regularly see thyroid dysfunction with a diagnosis of low AMH/high FSH. 3) Do you feel hangry, have poor sleep, or experience sugar cravings? Ensuring your blood sugar is balanced is KEY. Especially if you have irregular or absent cycles, irregular ovulation, or anovulation. 4) If you are experiencing mood issues such as irritability, ADHD, ADD, anxiety, depression and low AMH/high FSH digging into balancing neurotransmitters and addressing healing opportunities allows your body to prepare for pregnancy. 5) Do you feel burnt out, overwhelmed or exhausted? Not addressing mental emotions stress can impact cortisol levels which in turn impact sex hormones. Addressing mental-emotional stress is KEY for pregnancy success. 6) If your body is under attack by a gut infection such as a parasite, worm, bacterial/fungal overgrowth it wants to survive not procreate. We see gut infections ALL the time with low AMH/high FSH. 7) Minerals are the spark plugs of the body – but are yours in balance? How To Know Which Supplements To Take When You Are TTC

Justine Altman joins us today as we’re digging into the basic supplements you need to know about if you are TTC. There is a lot of information about which supplements are right for fertility. And like most women that I speak with you are probably taking A LOT of supplements. But are these supplements optimizing or harming your fertility? And taking supplements for years and not really knowing WHY or if they are helpful...doesn’t make sense either! As you may know, we take a functional approach to fertility and while supplements are included in our customized protocols (which are based on testing) - they are only a part of the equation. Why Constipation Matters If You are TTC

I remember going away on a girl's weekend (remember those!?!) and somehow we got around to the topic of poop! Well, it turns out half of the girls on the trip weren’t pooping regularly…as in they were going every couple of days or some even going only once per week! Now I’ve always been regular (I know TMI) but it turns out we all need to poop an average of 1-3 times/day. I know it sounds like a lot! But when we don’t move our bowels regularly – toxins recirculate in our body and that is not helpful for our fertility. How Not to Waste Time When You are TTC

Today we're digging into what you need to do so that you don’t waste time when you are TTC. Happy New Year! We all know the saying new year - new you. And if you’re reading this right now you’re probably thinking, 2021 is the year that you’ll finally get pregnant and have your baby. So you start with diet changes, dust off your yoga mat, and commit to meditation. You’re on a roll for the first couple of weeks and then LIFE gets in the way and in comes self-sabotage. And you give up. It’s not your fault. The average person gives up their new year's resolution by January 19th. I know you’re thinking “I’m a type-A, action taker and a doer by nature” - I’ll push through”. But what if you’re doing things that actually set you back - instead of optimizing your fertility? What You Need To Know Before You Decide On IVF

Today we’re digging into what you need to know before you decide on IVF. I know firsthand what it’s like to be told that IVF is your only option to have children. In my case it was being diagnosed with POI/POF at 28 and told that I could only have children with donor eggs. I know that IVF can feel like your next logical step. You probably feel like you’ve already tried everything. I know that when I dreamed of having my family – it certainly wasn’t with IVF. And although IVF can be successful – with an average 30% success rate – what about the couple that has 1,2,3,4 or more failed cycles – I see this quite regularly and it is heartbreaking and financially devastating. We typically work with couples that have had at least 1 failed IVF cycle.
