Life, Death, Resurrection, and Union. This is the pattern of the Gospel. We first receive this reality as an unmerited gift from God, and second we give our lives to live this pattern out in our lives. The End of the Story after our death is not floating away to a disembodied "heaven" somewhere else, but rather participation in the "New Heavens and New Earth". Jesus as our King in Revelation said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Keithen wraps up this series teaching that end of the story is a people redeemed and reconciled to God living in Union with him on the earth which has been purified from sin, satan, death, and hell. Is the Gospel about me? My salvation? My freedom? My healing? Or did Jesus come for something so much greater? In this teaching, Keithen leads us in a discussion about the Union of heaven and earth through the lens of the Family of God. Calling out the lies of Modern American Individualism, we read in the book of Revelation that God is rescuing and healing a family, that in turn joins him in rescuing and healing the world. This is the Church, and today we talk about how the Church is the Bride of Christ and eventually will inherit the earth made new, together.

Are we destined to live our entire lives following Jesus continually stuck in sin and never getting any better? Or is there a different and better story available? Phil Maberry leads us in a conversation about the New Self vs the Old Self from Ephesians chapter 4. Resurrection is much more than a one time event in the life of Jesus, but rather the pattern of new life we are invited to live in every day.

The next phase of the Gospel Series shifts this week to a two week conversation about Resurrection. What does the death and resurrection of Jesus mean for us, and what does this say about the nature of the world we live in? The reversal of death itself is an anchor of hope in the center of human history that points to the eternal power and authority of God. Raegan takes us in as we chat about the great reversal at the heart of the universe.

Sin is not just an individual reality, but a corporate reality. Sin not only breaks our relationship with God, Destroys us, but also unleashes chaos in human relationships around us. Raegan Griffith guides us through a diagnosis of the broken nature of human relationships and how the gospel is the answer to the warfare, hatred, division, and violence of our world.

In our second teaching on SIN in the gospel series, we need to look at the effect that sin has on a person. John 10:10 says that the thief (satan) comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Sin is the relational betrayal of the love of God that ultimately leads to our death and destruction. Is this the inevitable end of the story? Keithen walks us through the story of Jesus taking the destructive power of sin on himself to give us the opportunity to live a life free from the power of sin.

Why is the world so messed up? If God created us for love and from love, why is there so much evil and chaos in the world? Pastor Ashley Anderson kicks off the second movement of the Gospel Series with a conversation about Sin and Separation from God. To understand redemption, we must first accurately diagnose the disease that is destroying our world and our very lives. Jesus comes to heal us, save us, and recreate us because sin has so badly warped our world. But there is so much freedom and healing available.

Why were we created? Does the Gospel message address the ultimate purpose of life, or is this only about getting out of this life and into the next? What was the intention behind God creating human beings on the earth? What does any of this have to do with Jesus? Keithen unpacks the concept of partnership with God as outlined in Genesis and carrying on through the entire story of Scripture.

Before Genesis 3, is Genesis 1 and 2. The Gospel Story starts not in our sin, but rather in the love of God and the identity we have as his daughters and sons. Raegan Griffith teaches us that our Security in our Identity can only flow from a Security in Relationship with God. When that relational security is fractured with him, the root of all insecurity emerges. The gospel is the story of God healing and restoring us back to our original intention and design. That is good news.

In our world today, there is SO MUCH CONFUSION around the message of Jesus. Who was Jesus? What was his mission? What was the result of his life and teachings? Is Jesus good for the world? In the middle of all of the confusion, we want to bring clarity. The Gospel is the TRUE story of God moving in Human History to heal creation, save humanity, and restore all things.
