Deputy Chief Al Pratts of the North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue Department believes that the fire service chose him. Heading down an early path of law enforcement, by chance he found the fire service and fell in love. Going all in on a career he had little knowledge prior to his appointment, the challenge of the job tested him from early on. Currently, Al is the Deputy Chief of Special Operations (SOC) which he can't get enough of. He finds himself blessed to have the opportunity to be in the position he is today due in part to some solid senior men from his early years. Today, Al is also a member of the Promotional Prep team, a tutoring and consulting firm that helps entry level firefighters and officers alike learn how to score well on civil service tests. His commitment to the fire service is massive and his love for the job unbeatable. Deputy Chief Al Pratts is grateful for the road he is on.
