Today, I want to share my personal experiences with ascesis and just how much it has been helping me on my spiritual path. I have been doing an ascesis for the entire time I’ve been writing my book series, The Rose Codes, and I’ve just agreed to do another ascesis for a year with guidance from my spiritual team, starting this September, to help expand my channel. An ascesis is a tool to help you accumulate energy by giving up a habit that is currently taking up a lot of your personal resources. Think of it as something you’re addicted to or invest a lot of thought or time into. By intentionally giving up that habit for a period of time, you free up energy to channel it into other areas of your life. Energy, after all, is the life force of creation, and you get to choose what you want to create with it! Soul retrieval occurs when parts of your soul are left behind in time and space, either intentionally or unintentionally. Many people use soul retrieval and shadow work interchangeably, but they're different practices: shadow work involves integrating parts of yourself within the self, while soul retrieval is about integrating parts of your energy from different physical locations and times, left outside of the self.
