Disciple Dojo
JM Smith
What’s up with the name “Disciple Dojo”??
Great question! One of my lifelong passions has been studying the martial arts. And the place where you study and train in martial arts is a Dojo.
Christian Discipleship is similar to martial arts training (if you don’t believe me, just ask Paul–he says so himself in his letter to Christians in ancient Corinth [1Cor. 9:26-27]!). We have a Sensei (teacher): Jesus. We have a katana (sword): Scripture.
Thus Disciple Dojo is intended as a virtual Dojo–where students of the Master can be sharpened, challenged, equipped and encouraged as they continue to become more and more like the One they serve…minus the scrapes and bruises!

Meditation, Spirituality, and End Times Evil
***ATTENTION: Due to a mic malfunction, the audio had to be pulled from the Facebook Livestream. Please pardon the choppiness and overall quality of this episode!***
In this episode of Dojo Discussions we look at two topics:
1. What should Christians think about meditation, spirituality, "vibes", etc.?
2. How should we approach End Times scenarios and reading current events in light of Biblical "prophecy expert" claims?

The Bible, Science, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Blood Transfusions
"Why don't Christians believe in science, even when it is life-saving (i.e. Jehovah's Witnessess refusing blood transfusions or transplants)?"

Do people who never get to hear about Jesus go to Hell?
In this episode, JM discusses the question submitted by two listeners regarding what the Bible teaches about the fate of those who never get a chance to hear or respond to the Gospel in this life...
"I have a question that has bugged me for a while. What happens to the people who never get a chance to learn about the Bible and Jesus' sacrifice? As Christian's it is our duty to witness to everyone we can but there are people who never get a chance to hear the message. What happens to them when they die?"
“What's your opinion on those that don’t believe in Jesus because they were never taught of him, such as a tribe in the rainforest or Africa. Shall they see heaven? I say yes if they are good people.”

Covid Doctors, Demons, Deliverance, and Discernment
The question from a listener via Facebook Livestream:
"I attended a PTSD class for military personnel at a “deliverance” style church called _____________. It intrigued me, so I went to a few of their Friday night Deliverance services. They were very interesting. (I had some idea what I was going to as I went to a Pentecostal church camp with a friend as a kid—that was eye opening—I had no idea what I was going to as a kid). I don’t know much about their beliefs (other than hearing in the past that they “teach” people how to speak in tongues). While I was there, they were calling out evil spirits from people and taking about miraculous healings. I didn’t hear anything that was obviously contradictory to what I’ve read in the Bible, but I wasn’t really sure about it. What are your views on services or churches like this? It came to mind since the lady in the news for the “cure for coronavirus” is taking about kinda wacky stuff like this too..."
In this episode of Dojo Discussions, we talk about the supernatural, demons, healing, and other "bizarre" spiritual phenomena...and how we as Christians should approach them.
