2300 Years from the death of Alexander the Great initiated a major pivot point in world history. Through 1978 and 1979 the Iranian Revolution, the US Embassy in Pakistan was attacked, Mecca in Saudi Arabi and in 1978 the Camp David Peace Accords which in 1979 led to the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty between Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin.  Following a failed military coup in June 1981, Sadat ordered a major crackdown that resulted in the arrest of numerous opposition figures.Though Sadat still maintained high levels of popularity in Egypt. it has been said that he was assassinated "at the peak" of his unpopularity.Muslim Brotherhood was responsible for this assassination.  He said to me, "For 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the holy place will be properly restored."  (Dan 8:14)
