Shannon, known for The Shape of Water, Revolutionary Road, and recently with George & Tammy, and Narducy who spends time with Bob Mould, Superchunk, and Split Single, discuss why they decided to cover the classic 1983 LP, finding the album Document as their entry point when they were younger, and how the cooler music would find them in their youth. Shannon also talks about some of the challenges of deciphering Michael Stipe’s lyrics, while Narducy jokes about a few of Peter Buck’s more difficult guitar parts. Capaldi, known for his work in Dr. Who and The Suicide Squad, discusses his fondness for crime dramas, how this series highlights misogyny and racism, and what it was like to play an unlikeable character who represents a London quickly becoming out of step with the times. Moutchi, for his part, tells us about playing someone who spends the majority of his screen time inside of a prison and the pent-up aggression his character bottles inside. Mckenna Grace joins Kyle Meredith to talk about her latest single, “Natalie,” as well as reprising her role in the upcoming Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. The actress/musician discusses how she wrote the new song as a tribute to her friend Xochitl Gomez, basing her recent EPs on different genres (pop-punk for Bittersweet 16 and folk for Autumn Leaves), and wanting to make a metal album. In fact, Grace namechecks System of a Down as one of her current favorite bands, but not to be boxed in, also names Taylor Swift’s Folklore as her all-time favorite album, along with Blondeshell’s 2023 release and Alanis Morrisette’s Under Rug Swept.
