TBP56 - Exploring European Fintech
Wait so let me get this right, I have bit coins in this wallet, then I just pay as normal at a shop that accepts contactless payments? #Cut #It #Out #UncleJoey #FullHouse Last year we had Plutus Chief Communications Officer Filip Martinka on during the early stages in which we learned that while other methods connect to a third-party exchange or hold considerable reserves of bitcoin, Plutus uses its own decentralized exchange to directly connect customers and traders. Now equipped with a new white-paper, we revisit Plutus to see what they're up too. Don’t wait for merchants to accept bitcoin, use Plutus.it sucka!!

TBP53 - Tough Math
This week we get James D'Angelo in the studio to explore his new data and stance that miners are in trouble. His math holds up though and we find out the problem with proof of work is that it is completely mistaken. Satoshi made a fundamental mistake and we're just going to have to get over it. And his mistake was right there in the whitepaper; it says, "one CPU is one vote". What we really have to come to terms with is it's basically centralized from the very day in 2012 when there was a high number of miners and ASICs came in and mining started to centralize. And it's centralizing exponentially; we don't know the numbers but I think almost everyone can feel it.

TBP52 - Potential of the SDK
The first time we had MK Lords on the show, it depicted a world gracefully drifting towards the apocalypse, and to celebrate the release of Dark Souls III, this show is one on a spiraling, feverish descent directly into it. Oh, that's right, she isn't a videogame end boss! She is indeed Community Manager for Airbitz and she is doing her interview rounds to discuss the recent Software Development Kit (SDK) launch and other announcements made earlier this year. Lords says the team has been busy this year with development, and the company has more releases to come in the future. Which means, CTO, Jim Horton drops by the studio as well. Airbitz, come out and playyyyyyyy!

TBP51 - Such Wow
SuchWow.tv is the quirkiest video channel using PopChest Bitcoin micropayments. On episode #42 we talked in length about the micropayment system but now we wanted to record a show with someone that uses the system itself. Laura Lopez is a genius and she just so happens to be our guest this week. She is a Los Angeles-based reality TV editor. Most people are doubtful about bitcoin and its price volatility. But as soon as content creators realize they can win a lot more distributing their creations through bitcoin than with actual models like adsense or amazon, despite the variability of its price, the bitcoin market can explode.

He has a BSBA in Information Systems Engineering and Technology, and a masters in thuganomics as Crypto alter-ego Lil’ Buterin spits hot blockchains at us…because he spits hot fire.

TBP49 - Welterweight Gold
Jon Fitch says he is “too good anywhere” for most welterweights in MMA. We tend to agree. This weekend he will collide with Joao “The Brazilian Samurai” Zeferino for the vacant World Series of Fighting welterweight (170 pounds) championship at stake. As we anticipate the weigh-ins tomorrow and the actual fight, we talk a bit about being the first MMA fighter to be fully paid in bitcoin. Fitch loves cryptocurrency and he thinks it is bringing about a new form of commerce. Tony Swish and Cello are your guys on the 1's & 2's while the normal gang sit in for this special mid-week roundtable. Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiime!!!

TBP48 - Inertia, My Friend!
When the blockchain and bitcoin are invisible to the end user, then that must mean that you’re adding some other value to the consumer. Align Commerce enables businesses and payment platforms to send and receive payments in local currency, by using the blockchain as a new payment rail. On the surface, it doesn’t seem like a very exciting premise for a “financial revolution,” but Co-Founder, Aldo Carrascoso joins us in the studio to chat about all this juicy Bitcoin remittances stuff.
