TBP #207 - Haseeb Qureshi

If you work in payments fraud, you get an appreciation for the weaknesses of our financial infrastructure. Really, it’s kind of a mess. As an engineer, when you see a system full of technical debt and bad design choices, there’s only one conclusion you can reach: this thing is due for a rewrite. That, in large part, is what made our guest, Haseeb Qureshi, catch the crypto bug. In June 2017, he decided the blockchain space was too interesting to sit on the sidelines. He said goodbye to Airbnb so I could pursue crypto full-time. Since then he's worked on some security research, did a lot of writing and speaking, and taught a course on cryptocurrencies at the Bradfield School of Computer Science. We have a great chat with Haseeb, amongst other things! In addition, Dee and Cello chat about the 20 Most Influential Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Experts list and pick it apart!

TBP #205 - The Cool Kids

Sir Michael Rocks and Chuck Inglish (known collectively as 'The Cool Kids') have been busy in the booth as a duo again. As a big fan of their music, we've known them to drop lines about crypto in their songs from time to time. After a half decade hiatus they've returned with their new album Special Edition Grand Master Deluxe and have graced us with their time for a little Q&A. Their new song titled “Ripple” is out today, and it’s the ultimate cryptocurrency anthem for partying hard. “They taking bitcoin in the strip club” is the chant for the hook. We invite them to come on the show this week to talk about a variety of topics, from the music industry, to crypto, and they even spit a freestyle for us!
