Just because you get important people to approve what you’re doing doesn’t make it right. We see this in 1 Kings 1:1-2, where Adonijah sets himself up as king and has support from those around him. He does not seek the Lord in this decision but instead exalts himself to this position. In this episode, Brody walks through this story of Solomon becoming king. Solomon becomes king because of the plan and purpose of the Lord. In this episode, Brody sat down with Katie cousins, a pro athlete and friend of Snowbird, to hear about her time playing soccer for Angel City. The beauty of the Gospel exists even in the midst of broken situations. Today, Brody walks through Genesis 34, where Dinah, the daughter of Jacob is defiled and her brothers have to rescue her. This story has no happy ending except for the hope the Gospel offers. There is no redeeming quality in humanity. We need a rescuer. Jesus is that rescuer. Jesus entered into the darkness of humanity to save people who can’t save themselves. Listen to be reminded of God’s plan of redemption for us. In Luke 9, Jesus revealed his glory in the transfiguration. Throughout history, there have been glimpses of God’s glory being revealed in specific ways. But, there wasn’t a full disclosure. The gospel accounts reveal the Lord’s glory through Christ’s life and ministry.But, what can we learn from this revelation of God?Let’s consider the radiating brilliance of Christ’s appearance, the presence of Moses and Elijah, and the disciples' reaction.
