2023 is almost over and we only had one bank crisis. It is a miracle there were not more this year. However 2024 is shaping up to produce a potentially massive banking crisis on the scale of 2008. A 2024 bank crisis would surprise a lot of people, but at the same time everyone saw it coming and did nothing.  Why? Good question. This has the making of the next black swan. Much like 2022 when the markets immediately dropped  on the first day of trading. People just decided that it was time. Time will tell for 2024. Also in the news... The last US treasury auction yielded poor results when no one showed up. Yields are not dropping like many predicted. And next year should be interesting. This has taken me 20 years to filter Want your own sources? Here are 6 tips to cultivate your own sources How to cultivate investment sources Stay away from major media, most of it is propaganda or paid-for advertising Find independent sources and follow them for a while to get to know their perspective Find competing sources (e.g. republican view vs democrat view). This is hard but extremely valuable Find people who know how to think Challenge your own views on things.
