Radio Free Mormon’s last podcast dealing with young Mormon apologist Kwaku El has been getting a LOT of attention! RFM is releasing this special edition podcast to answer some questions that have been raised relating to that podcast, and to clarify some additional issues. Ultimately, however, RFM puts Kwaku squarely on the horns of a dilemma. Will Kwaku admit to being Kwaku the Deceiver, or merely Kwaku the Deceived? The ball is now in Kwaku’s court!  

Kwaku El is one of the rising generation of young Mormon apologists. In a recent video, Kwaku attempts to prove the Book of Abraham is true. But in doing so, Kwaku employs a well known apologetic trick; well known to Radio Free Mormon, at least. In fact, Radio Free Mormon publicly exposed this very apologetic trick in a podcast published seven months BEFORE Kwaku posted his video. Some tricks need to be retired from the apologist playbook. Tonight, Radio Free Mormon shows how the LDS Church continues to hide its history. He first gives a whirlwind tour of the four primary accounts of Joseph Smith’s First Vision. RFM then looks at the new church history titled “Saints” and exposes the contortions the authors go through in order to tell a faith promoting account of the First Vision without ever mentioning the contradictions between the various accounts. In order to see how the LDS Church continues to hide its history, we have to be as conversant with the different First Vision accounts as are the church historians who gloss over the differences and contradictions in “Saints.” It takes a thief to catch a thief. And Radio Free Mormon definitely catches the church historians off first base in their creative, if not deceptive, recounting of Joseph Smith’s First Vision!

Radio Free Mormon continues with the third lecture from his Institute class from spring of 1989 on Defending the Faith. Lecture Three completes the discussion commenced in Lecture Two about how to respond to commonly heard criticisms of the Book of Mormon. Anybody who wants to be able to defend the Book of Mormon against the critics should give this episode a listen!

In this podcast, Radio Free Mormon documents the facts leading to the conclusion that the BYU Police Department is refusing to release information damaging to the LDS Church.  This is information that no police agency, acting on its own, would normally try to hide.  Because of this, in a second round of public disclosure requests, RFM wants copies of documentation relating to who is making these decisions to not release this information . . . and why.  Unsurprisingly, the BYUPD is refusing to release this information, as well.  Looks like we are headed back to the Utah State Records Committee on appeal!  Listen in on everything that has been going on behind the scenes, and why it is RFM is scheduled to have his case heard by the Utah State Records Committee on September 12, 2019.

After all this back and forth with Dan Peterson, RFM was motivated to take a second look at the circumstances of the 1835 First Vision account.  After all, Mr. Peterson, the artful dodger of Mormon Apologetics did say “Is it possible that Elder Joseph Fielding Smith… sat on one or more unpublished First Vision accounts? Yes, it is.”  So with that RFM takes a look at why the 1835 First Vision accounts was missing essentially just as long as the 1832 account.

RFM tackles President Nelson’s seeming embellishment of his life and role as LDS President and Prophet.  RFm uses three examples from recent history and shows that Nelson has little issue with adding extra details or removing others in order to add a “miracle-like” perception to his life and experiences.
