136 — Critical Race Theory in Your School: How to Fight Back with Dr. George Maurer

The book of 1 Kings continues the narrative started in Samuel, tracing the rise and fall of King Solomon and the division of the kingdom into Israel and Judah. It covers a period of more than 400 years and was likely written between 560 and 540 BC. The purpose of the book is to record the history of the kings of Israel and Judah and to provide lessons from their successes and failures. Key stories which we chat about include Solomon's wisdom, the building of the temple, the prophet Elijah, and the reigns of various kings. The book concludes with the downfall of King Ahab and the split of the nation into two kingdoms.
