In our episode today we're showing you a pilot from the Dead Pilots Society podcast. In Dead Pilots Society, scripts that were developed by studios and networks but were never produced are given the table reads they deserve. The episode we have for you is from Academy Award-nominated writer/director of Promising Young Woman, Emerald Fennell. Emerald was also the showrunner of Season Two of Killing Eve, and her acting credits include Call the Midwife and The Crown. Her pilot is called Space Bound, it follows an alien who goes on an intergalactic coffee run and finds herself stranded on “the worst planet in the universe”: Earth. A group of eccentric friends takes her in and she discovers she might actually be the most functional person in the world. The cast for this one is out of this world! It stars academy award nominee Carey Mulligan as G456, Sam Richardson as Dan, academy award nominee Richard E.
