From the war zones of Afghanistan to the storytelling frontlines of advocacy and authorship, CDR James Seddon, U.S. Navy (Ret.), has lived the Navy’s 11 Leadership Principles — and continues to teach them through action, empathy, and purpose.
In this episode, we explore how leaders can:
✨ Lead with integrity when the stakes are highest.
✨ Transform service into storytelling that heals and unites.
✨ Build trust in teams — even when trust is tested.
✨ Continue serving long after the uniform comes off.
A career naval officer turned author and humanitarian, CDR Seddon reminds us that leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about impact. His work with #AfghanEvac and his writing for outlets like the LA Times and San Diego Union-Tribune show what “service after service” truly means.
