Water, Air, Earth and Fire: Harmonizing Your Energy Through Elements
Episode 301: In this episode, Madelyn talks about an amazing book, The Missing Element, that she just received from a previous podcast guest, Astrologer - Debra Silverman. This book discusses the four elements — air, earth, water, and fire and how they affect your inner world. Many of us are on a quest to learn more about ourselves and others, and perhaps now more than ever — when we're deep into the Coronavirus quarantine, it's a great time to go within and learn more about how you function as an individual. The Missing Element was written for all of us who have ever felt that something was “wrong” with us, that we are odd and outside the norm. This book helps you to see beyond your perceived flaws to find your 'true' self, your gifts and your place in this world. You don't have to have an extensive Astrology background to understand these profound teachings. This is a fun playground to explore so you can learn more about yourself and others. Emotional, very intuitive, more empath, love the spiritual side of life, want to numb out because your feelings are so strong, personal space is very important, great healer, overly guarded sometimes, very important to get to know your moods/periods/moon cycles, take showers/baths. Fire: can be very destructive, very transformative energy, the life of the party, likes to figure it out as they go along - not a lot of structure, judged a lot, helpful to find forms of movement that create heat in your body, impulsive, it’s okay to slow down, they love to love and to be adored, learn how to listen if you’re a fire sign, very competitive, impatient, enjoys traveling. Earth: loves stability, rituals are very important, safety/security is a top priority, have a hard time investing in themselves, great with their hands - get the job done, plant the metaphorical seed, dependable, they can sometimes lack fire/spontaneity, never give themselves a pat on the back. Air: more inclined to see us all as one, they love information and learning, very curious, auditory, co-dependent, flirtatious, must be balanced with earth, they talk super fast, do more earth grounding work, work on your voice, stimulating conversations, not great listeners - cut people off. Why the Quarantine May Be the Worst Time for Productivity
Episode 298: This is Madelyn's second episode where she discusses the Coronavirus and the stay-in-place quarantine. It feels silly to talk about anything else during these vulnerable times. Today, she's coming at you with applicable thoughts for your life outside of the quarantine. She dives right in on how the masculine and feminine containers are being affected, not only for us individually, but for the planet. It's not a secret that our world is lacking grounding and footing and it's impacting us all. In this episode, you'll learn how you can show up and give yourself the structure that you're craving. You'll also learn Madelyn's tangible advice for the quarantine and what her daily routine consists of. You'll also hear why it's okay to not feel super productive right now and how to give yourself a break. One thing's for sure — we're all in this together. We're feeling the same things — the ups, the downs, and the 'all-arounds'. We've never had as much emotional polarity in our lives, right? It's true that not much is constant right now and this episode helps us to be okay with that. Show notes: "When our world is lacking grounding and footing, it’s really challenging to go as deep as we'd like in other areas (business, relationships, etc)." When there’s no grounding, it’s hard to fly. Why our nervous systems do not feel safe right now. In order for the feminine to feel emotionally and creatively expressed, she has to know that the alpha (masculine) has got her. We don’t have harmony right now. How to create your safe, grounded container. Why it will help you look for the masculine wherever you can right now. Any time you have discipline showing up in your life, that’s your masculine. You are your best teacher - act like it right now. Why women struggle with feeling mad. 'Gaslighting' and how it applies to the quarantine. This is a time that people are feeling two different emotional polarities at the same time. i.e., secure vs terrified Madelyn's tangible list of things to do to help you throughout this time. Blending "Work You" with "Real You"
Episode 294: Do you have a hard time owning and blending all of the parts and pieces that make up you? If so, you're not alone. Many of us shut down the parts of us that we don't think are appropriate for the current situation we're in. We feel uncomfortable wearing red lipstick to the office. We feel shameful for having pics of our gurus on our desk for fear if someone sees them and thinks we're a weirdo. We hide our truest self, every single day. Here's the thing — doing the thing and being seen doing it, liberates you. And more importantly, it makes you more available to love and to be loved. More of you is available. By connecting to all of the parts and pieces that make you, you... you soften something in your body that simply becomes magnetic. Blending the feminine and masculine energies of who you truly are makes you electric. Because at the end of the day, it's YOU who thinks you're too snobbish. It's YOU who thinks too loud. It's YOU who thinks you're too intelligent. It's YOU who thinks you're the black sheep. The moment you realize those truths, you can't turn back. You all a sudden know that if you think that, then it is up to YOU to make a choice to change it. All a sudden you're responsible and everything is in your hands. This is where healing gets done — when you reveal a part of you that you've been hiding for all of these years. This episode will teach you how to own who you are and the importance of blending the "work" you with the "real" you. Show notes: Madelyn’s juicy, seductive ritual of letting pleasure lead her for 24 hours. Madelyn's favorite toy - her cervix wand: https://bit.ly/2SK5a5X Blending your energies — how can I be a feminine embodied creature while also running a masculine business? Why Madelyn is over the traditional business hustle and the discouraging feeling of overwhelm. “It’s up to me to allow myself to step back.” “Let your feminine heart - your yearning to let go, to run the show for a bit.” How to start training your masculine with meditation and breathwork. How to create harmony where you have a choice in what energy (masculine/feminine) you lead with. The reframe with feeling judged and how to release those stories that we tell ourselves. How to create more ownership to make a different, more empowering choice. Fun fact: Egypt is the #1 feminine country. The sobering thought that you are going to pass and how Madelyn uses it as the biggest motivating factor. “Any outward focus is you’re really trying to numb the inward experience.” More of you is available to love and be loved when you’re taking ownership of your desires. When you connect your heart to your yoni lips something softens in your body that is magnetic. How to become more available and open yourself to all the versions of you. “You can’t truly love all that life provides if you can’t love all that you provide.” “Everything is a reflection — start taking ownership of that reflection.” The Embodied Retreat with Jamie Wollrab: maddymoon.com/events Connect with Maddy: Facebook: https://facebook.com/moonfitness/ Instagram: https://instagram.com/madelynmoon/ Subscribe to the podcast on iTunes: http://maddymoon.com/itunes Download my Four Favourite Feminine Embodiment Practices: https://maddymoon.com/freegift Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands
