How to Not Abandon Yourself in a Relationship or When Dating

Episode 233: In this podcast, Madelyn Moon discusses how to not abandon yourself in your loving relationships so you can remain true to yourself and feel connected to who you really are. Each day you have a divine opportunity and responsibility to not abandon yourself and it makes all the difference in your relationships. By connecting to and fulfilling your daily needs and desires, you eliminate resentment, blame, and shame with the people you love the most. Madelyn takes us on a beautiful deep dive into why and how we abandon ourselves and the essential steps we can take to fix this.    Show notes: Nadia Munla episode: Getting Into Your Heart and Out of Your Head Through Dance, Sensuality and Body Wisdom The interview series with men that Maddy is currently musing on. An update with living in NYC — the lessons she’s learning and how the energy of the city is affecting her. Maddy’s thoughts on first dates and the essential thing you need to do. How she handles who pays for the bill on a first date. “On a macro level, when you abandon all of the opportunities to remain true to yourself you start to feel disconnected to yourself." #1 How we abandon ourselves: we assume what the other person wants. #2 How we abandon ourselves: we make what they want more important than what we want. Own the fact that you are making that choice; don’t become a victim of your choice. Why sovereignty is the most important thing to embody when faced with a choice. Don’t say yes when you want to say no. Consent ripples into all areas of our lives. #3 How we abandon ourselves: we forget the little things that bring us joy. How to combine your needs when you’re dating someone. #4 How we abandon ourselves: we use the relationship as an excuse to not go for what we want. Singlehood is where we really learn who we are. It makes it easier to find out things about yourself because there is no one else to take into consideration. There’s much more time for you. “Everyday you have the opportunity to abandon yourself or not to.” Singlehood solidifies the truth. Relationships strengthen your ability to stand in your truth. Put an outing on your calendar - don’t plan anything with your partner; stick to your plan. Find one thing you miss about being single and bring her into your relationship. Speak your fears out loud - do not hold them in. Notice where you withhold. Withholding is not love. Know that sometimes it’s okay to do what you need to do. Maddy’s disclaimer: When there is emotional, physical, verbal abuse present, none of this applies. This is when you leave. No soul needs to go through abuse. Chandresh Bhardwaj: A Modern-Age Spiritual Healer's Take on Religion, Fear and Gurus

Episode 232: Chandresh Bhardwaj is a seventh generation spiritual advisor, speaker, and the author of the bestselling book, Break the Norms: Questioning Everything You Think You Know About God and Truth, Life and Death, Love and Sex. Currently based in L.A., Chandresh quit his Wall Street job to launch the nonprofit Break the Norms Movement with the intention of awakening the human awareness from its conditioned self. He is a world traveler who frequently speaks about spirituality across the globe, from Europe to Asia and the Americas. Chandresh hails from a line of spiritual healers in India that spans over seven generations, and his teachings combine ancient wisdom with a modern approach to spirituality. Chandresh is a disciple of his father, His Holiness Shri Chamunda Swami, a universally recognized authority in spiritual healing. Chandresh is revered as a credible teacher of eastern tantra traditions; the incredible healing powers of mantra, tantra, and meditation have long fascinated him. He designed his easy-to-access meditations and lessons to help students realize the truth from within. “Spirituality is a borrowed knowledge,” says Chandresh. “We must meditate to experience our own version of it.” Show notes: Why he is currently musing on human potential, rising above current circumstances and meditation. “Life gets so much better when we respond to craziness instead of just reacting.” His recount of a very normal childhood where his spiritual healer father never told him to meditate. Chandresh began meditating because he loved the strength that it gave his parents. His sister’s untimely death had him question death and God and why he began wondering if divinity exists? The deep unhappiness he felt while studying business/finance in NYC. What he did to begin to shift the unhappiness in his life. The differences in raising children between eastern and western cultures. “Don’t try to teach your kids anything; learn from them.” “The only thing we know is nothing.” Spiritual misconceptions: spiritual bling and veganism. Why he believes spirituality has become fashionable. “PDA” = Public Display of Awareness; we all want to show everyone how spiritually aware we are. “You need a spiritual guru to constantly puncture your ego. Without that, you will be a spiritual circus that you will not be able to control.” “We need to get off the bling train and get on the inner journey and path.” The main difference between a coach and a guru. A Guru is one that shows the light in you and helps you to awaken to your inner strength. The “right” guru makes you spiritually independent; you don’t depend on them. How and where to find a guru? Gurus are not self-proclaimed. They are relaxed, joyful within and extremely humble. His deep, provoking thoughts on heaven and hell. The last time he was angry and how he handled it. Why he has meditated daily for the last twenty years on Goddess Kali. How he practices and believes in “ahimsa” —  the principle of nonviolence towards all living things. His deep inner-calling to deal with things he hadn’t been interfacing with, such as getting a 'real job' and how society runs. What is transformative breathwork and how it is different from other techniques? “Oxygen is really where prana is present the most.” “When we start to bring in more prana into our life, we start to align with that lifeforce energy. Our consciousness starts to operate on a deeper, intuitive level and we feel more connected to life itself.” Christian provides a sample breath to hear what it sounds like. 3 F’s: full, free, flow (full inhale, relaxed and free exhale, continuous movement). Maddy shares one of her powerful flashbacks while she was doing the breathwork. “What’s coming is going.” Whatever comes up is on it’s way out of your consciousness.  Powerful visualizations and how they appear during breathwork. Breath releases DMT, a chemical that opens us up in our consciousness to deeper understandings. Phil Good: Twin Flames vs. Soul Mates, Awakening Your Kundalini and Healing the Collective

Episode 227: Phil was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. In 2006, he came to the U.S. to pursue his dreams as a singer in the music industry. Shortly after moving, a series of events led him and others to believe that he was bipolar. After years of being hospitalized, he had given up hope as nothing seemed to be improving. In 2011, he decided to try meditation. Within 5 minutes, he had a spontaneous kundalini awakening. He spent years ‘in the desert’ fostering his psychic abilities. In 2013, he was equipped to start assisting others with their ascension process. Today, with the use of Instagram (@philgoodlife), he is able to reach a wide audience and works with people at a global scale. Phil’s incredible Kundalini experience at age 22 and how he ended up in a mental institution. How Kundalini opens up your third eye and starts to link you to the higher celestial planes and archangels. His powerful stance on integrity and free will that shapes his experience as a quantum being. “We are multidimensional, quantum beings. We’ve forgotten that we’re this, but we all are psychic beings; it's just a matter of reconnecting to them.” The most important thing is to be aligned in mind, body and soul and to be aligned with your highest self. The stress that you feel when you can’t get to the gym, or you eat the wrong thing, isn’t stress. It’s a higher energy that is trying to merge with you. You keep denying it, which is denying your own inner light. When you have a day off from the gym or eat something bad, these are just guilt programs that you’re running. These programs are like malware; a virus that doesn’t want to be extracted, so it’s going to fight you. When you’re willing to oppose negative energy, then you’re beaming out love and light to everyone who proceeded you. Multi-dimensional = every potential has already happened to us. The importance of not making things right or wrong/good or bad. How Phil specifically finds his own personal groundedness and expands his consciousness. “You’re perfect as you are. You’re just upgrading yourself.” Our physical bodies are currently expanding and going through so much reconfiguration. We’re able to hold more perspective and less judgment than ever before. Phil’s love life and his experience with romantic partnerships. “Everything you see here is an illusion; nothing is real.” The wildly misconceptions about twin flames. Your twin flame is an internal flame. You can always tell when someone didn’t learn the lesson in a previous relationship — they’re still walking around complaining about it. “Twin flames are the highest personification of who you are; it’s our highest potential.” The reason why twin flames can’t come together physically right away. Your true twin flame transcends time and space. Even if you’re not with your twin flame, you’re still connected to them in your current relationship. 8 Habits That Are Blocking Your Wild Feminine

Episode 224: In this podcast, Madelyn Moon dives into the realm of femininity to help you understand where you might be blocking the Feminine you already have access to. If you want to stop muting or numbing out your feels, you must begin to accept the emotions that are trying to move through your body. This means no more judgment or shaming yourself for feeling certain ways-- it's your emotion that is going to be the very thing to bring you back in touch with your Feminine!   Take a listen to this episode to find out the 8 habits you may be partaking in daily which are ultimately watering down your incredibly powerful connection to your creative, open, sensual, slow, vulnerable, powerful, nourishing, feminine self.   Let's open up our hearts, shall we?   Show notes: How we are in our body is how we are in our emotional state. You can only open up as far as you open in your body. Be aware of how you position your body. For example, do you cross your arms often?  Being in your body is being in the feminine. A simple technique you can do with your body to tap into your feminine. The power of opening yoga stretches: hip openers, half pigeon pose. Hips hold our trauma; stretch them regularly. Physically and emotionally going outward when we really want to go inward. Sun: outward; moon: inward. Honor your desire to be alone. FOMO isn’t really a thing. FOMO is a choice. Sometimes we are just too vulnerable to be around other people. We need to feel our feelings and we need to feel them alone. What is projection? Second-guessing yourself and back-pedaling on our lives. The power of “fake it til you make it.” Not honoring your yes and your no. The more you shut down your ability to say yes and no, the less you’re going to know what a yes and a no is. Eating in the Light of the Moon by Anita Johnston Rushing too quickly is a way we trample over our feminine. We hold back our energy (emotion/expression) to blend in and because our judgment is too much to bear. Jenna Cooper, The Bachelor HERE Not mothering yourself; telling yourself to get over it. We cannot nurture others if we cannot nurture ourselves. Not making time for dance; not making time to get into your physical body. My favorite dance ritual to get into my physical body. Holding onto the story that you’re still one of the guys. Choose to change your story. Say: I love women. I support women. I am a woman. We are all the same. Your beauty is my beauty. Women are not inherently dramatic; we are energy. Consistently send out an aura to the Universe that you are one of the girls.
