We're not entirely sure what the qualifications are to be nicknamed "Moose Meat" but we assure you Mike Yoshida is more than qualified. From snowboarding down an icy driveway in Alaska to being one of the most beloved photographers in the community, Mike Yoshida has experienced so much that life has to offer. Mike takes a journalistic approach to his photography which helps him find unique and captivating angles and tell a deep and personal story. He was always been eager to learn and experiment has paved his way through the industry with his ingenuity and creativity. His focus on inclusion and visibility for underrepresented communities speaks volumes to his character and the snowboard community is so lucky to have somebody like Mike Yoshida. Also we tried to surprise him by flying in his long-time friend, Jesse Burtner, to co-host and we blew the surprise three times before Jesse even arrived. What does the future of snowboarding look like? This is a question that this week's guest has on their mind quite a bit. Erik Leon came from humble beginnings and has been paving his way through the industry by putting his energy into having fun and giving back. When Erik was younger, a few people gave him a chance and now his mission is to give those same opportunities back to the youth and underprivileged within the snowbird community. He is conscious about his ecological footprint, pro-sustainability, and even started his own non-profit, "C.O.R.E." which focuses on making affordable products and bringing fun, and cheap, experiences on a snowboard to local communities. Anybody out there ever been lit on fire and jumped from 80ft in the air into about an 8ft deep pool? Nobody? Oh, well. He's a nerd, he's silly, and he's not taking any of this too seriously because life is short and the word is too big to miss out on.
