On January 1, 2025, 30-year-old mother of two, Ashley Elkins, was kidnapped and allegedly killed by her stalker ex-boyfriend, 32-year-old DeAndre Booker. He had been watching Ashley, trying to book appointments at her hair salon under false names, and wouldn't leave her alone. On February 28, 2011, 24-year-old Shelley Mook dropped her 6-year-old daughter Lilli off at her ex-husband Tyler Mook’s house. Shelley allegedly stayed for an hour and then left to run some errands. However, she never returned. Her car was later found abandoned and burned in a field nearby. Her ex Tyler already had a history of violence against Shelley, but has never been charged with possibly murdering or abducting her. In 2023, then 18-year-old Madison Schemitz had been avoiding her ex-boyfriend, Spencer Pearson, who had been stalking her. One night she went out to dinner with her mother and some friends, spotted Pearson, and left the restaurant. That's when he followed her out into the parking lot with a knife, looking to end her life. He was able to attack her, along with her mother who ran over to help, nearly killing her. On July 26, 2016, then 27-year-old Tucker Reed shot and killed her uncle Shane Moore during a family dispute over land allocation and money. Moore was responsible for caring for his father, and was promised the land and house, but his sister, Tucker's mother, took issue with this, as she had debts, and was using the family for money. This hatred and jealousy of her brother clearly made its way to Tucker, who fatally shot him after the two went over to sabotage Moore's appointment with a Notary Public. On June 18th, 2024, 41-year-old yoga instructor Taylor Casey went missing from a month-long Bahamian yoga retreat. She was reported missing the following day after failing to make it to any of her classes. That July, her iPhone and journal were located, but they didn't lead police to any answers as to where she could have gone. Lauren McCluskey was a 21-year-old college student with a full life ahead of her when she was killed by a vengeful stalker ex-boyfriend. In October 2020, Lauryn Licari and her boyfriend Owen, both 13-years-old at the time, started receiving weird text messages about themselves from an unknown number. These weird messages would ramp up over the next few years, getting violent, graphic, and encouraging Lauryn to self-harm. After police got involved, the messages started to try to pin the sender as one of Lauryn’s classmates. Further investigation revealed Lauryn’s harasser’s identity, and it was a revelation no one was ready for.
