#025 - John & Sophee Waller
On today's episode, we got to meet the incredible John Waller and his daughter, Sophee.
Georgia native John Waller first caught the attention of the Christian music community as frontman for the fan favorite, According to John (1996-2003). When the group disbanded, Waller moved to Colorado, helped launch Southlink Church and began writing songs that led to a signing a record deal with Beach Street Records/Provident Music Group.
His major label solo debut, The Blessing (2007), earned a Top 10 “Faces to Watch” nod by Billboard while his follow-up, While I’m Waiting (2009), included the poignant title track featured in the Fireproof film, the No. 1 independent film in 2008. The music video to the title track of his As for Me and My House (2011) has received over 5 million views on YouTube alone while the title track of Crazy Faith (2015) was featured in the US News, World Report-lauded film, War Room.
His most recent full album and Radiate Music debut, Explosions of Light (2019), sparked the Christian radio Top 40 favorite, “Awakening (aka The Coffee Song).” More recently, he released his first ever duet with his 16-year-old daughter, Sophee, entitled “What My Father Does” on father’s day. Though the song begins with an ethereal, piano-driven ambiance, it builds into a triumphant, orchestral anthem featuring inspiring harmonies from both Sophee and John, proclaiming “He shows me unfailing, faithful love; it’s what my Father does.”
While not in the studio finishing his latest album set to release late 2021, Waller can be found with his wife and 10 children residing in Atlanta, GA.

#022 - Jared Hudson
On today's podcast, we had the honor of sitting down with Jared Hudson.
After spending 8 years as a Navy SEAL, Jared was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and ended up having to retire from the SEAL teams. Fortunately, Jared didn't let that stop him from helping others, and being a hero.
Following his career in the Navy, Jared started TSI - The Shooting Institute. The Shooting Institute is a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, based in Birmingham, AL. Jared, Founder and CEO of TSI has combined his years of experience as a Navy SEAL Sniper and Assaulter, Contractor, and Law Enforcement Officer. Jared has developed a highly effective method of Tactical training that has benefited multiple US Military/DOD, Law Enforcement, Corporate clients, and Civilians.
That's not all. Jared also holds the role as Executive Director of Covenant Rescue Group. CRG was founded in June 2019 by a US Navy SEAL and his wife. They saw a lack of skills and funding to properly rescue victims and arrest criminals involved in Human Trafficking. Sharing a passion for children who fall victim to human trafficking globally, they decided to become active. They organized their passion, training, and expertise, to bring this wicked, organized enterprise to an end. CRG provides funding for REAL-LIFE operations that lead to REAL rescues, arrests, and prosecution. We provide essential training and equipment for law enforcement. We create teams that are dedicated to the mission. We spread awareness, advocating through news, social media, and conferences to the growing global problem of human trafficking and how to end it.
