#016 - Bernie Kerik
Bernie Kerik is a former law enforcement officer and public official who served as the 40th Police Commissioner of New York City. Born on September 4, 1955, in Newark, New Jersey, Kerik grew up in a working-class family and dropped out of high school at the age of 16.
In 1974, Kerik joined the United States Army and served as a military police officer for three years. After his military service, he worked as a security guard and eventually joined the New York City Police Department (NYPD) in 1986.
During his time with the NYPD, Kerik worked in several units, including the narcotics division and the detective bureau. In 2000, he was appointed as the Commissioner of the New York City Department of Correction, where he implemented several reforms to improve the safety and security of inmates and correctional officers.
In 2001, following the terrorist attacks on September 11th, Kerik was appointed by Mayor Rudy Giuliani as the Police Commissioner of New York City. He played a critical role in the city's response to the attacks and was widely praised for his leadership during the crisis.
After leaving public service, Kerik worked as a security consultant and founded a private investigation firm

Early in her life, Alison Watros found herself living a life of addiction. She eventually took control of her own life and went through the twelve step program and sober living. This path ignited something in Alison that lead her to pursue her passions of helping other women through this very process.
After a few years of sobriety, she returned to Dallas, where she began working with the local recovery community. She worked passionately to not only help women take back their lives, but also improve the systems and programs both locally and nation wide.
In 2012, Alison opened up the first Windhaven House, support women on the path of recovery from substance abuse. A house that not only support women through their recovery, but supports their entire being of emotional, spiritual, and physical needs. Alison and her team continue to help women take back control of their life and give women all the resources possible for a successful path to recovery from addiction.

On this episode of Shoot Me Straight, we welcome Trell Webb.Trell grew up on the streets of Baton Rouge, living with most of his family, including his cousin and rapper Lil' Boozy, under one small roof. He grew up witnessing horrific crimes daily during most of his childhood. During his childhood, Trell was accidentally shot in the stomach and completely lost the ability to walk and use the bathroom. He spent the next few years praying for healing, until 4 years later when he miraculously started to have movement in his legs.
However, a few years later, Trell encountered an even bigger trial when he was falsely convicted of double homicide. Tune in to this episode to hear all about how he overcame his time in prison and now lives his life for the Lord working and leading prison ministries world wide.

#012 - Andy Isolano
NYFD Firefighter | Survivor & Hero of 9/11 Terrorist Attack
Early in his life, Andy Isolano competed against the best of the best during his fire academy training. He worked hard enough to earn a position in one of the Manhattan fire departments. For the next few years, Andy loved his work and experienced many incredible tribulations. However, on September 11, 2001, Andy and many other first responders responded to the most unimaginable call. Andy and his department responded to the call of the attack on the twin towers and arrived on the scene just as the first tower collapsed. During that horrific tragedy, Andy lost 13 of his closest friends and witnessed many deaths right before his eyes. After that day, Andy spent months looking for his everyone and anyone he could find in the rubble, working tirelessly day in and day out. After a few months, Andy had sustained too must damage to his lungs that the fire department ended up medically retiring him in November of 2001.
Following the continual tragedies following the gruesome attack on our country, Andy suffered from the burden of grief and trauma that he endured for far too long. On this episode, Andy walks us through his struggles of grief and trauma but ultimately uses his experiences to provide hope and purpose for people who may be going through a similar journey. Presently, Andy speaks often of that day to ensure that no one ever forgets the horrific events that claimed the lives of many and that the lives that were lost are continually honored for the rest of time.

Mason Fowler grew up in Fresno California. As a young teenager, he was always interested in MMA fighting. Finally, he landed in a gym to start training for the MMA. After many months of training, Mason finally competed in his much awaited first MMA fight. From there, he competed in several amateur and pro fights, before suffering from post concussion syndrome. Mason decided to take some time off of MMA fighting and learn the art of Jui Jitsu. Ever since, Mason continues to develop and train others in Jui Jitsue. Mason currently ranks as one of the best Jui Jitsu competitors in the world.

Jim had always had a passion for guns, the mechanics of them, and the importance on the education of them. Eventually, Jim decided to follow his passions for guns and started a gun suppressor company. He has now grown his business exponentially and continues to improve the business and his products.
Jim is married to Kendall Hood, a successful Realtor in the Florida Panhandle. They share two children together and have a lot of wisdom to give about parenting and leading a healthy household.

On this episode of Shoot Me Straight, we interview David Huffman, the current Lead Pastor of Redeemer 30A. David Huffman was raised in Spokane, Washington for most of his adolescence, being raised in a Christian household with his siblings. Late into his teen years, David's family uprooted to Haiti to become missionaries and serve the rural communities in the Haitian countryside. While living in Haiti, David witnessed a culture that worshiped and devoted their lives to the Devil. These experiences set his heart on fire to further the Gospel and do the work of God through many international ministries for years to come.
David has now landed in family in Florida, where he is the Lead Pastor of Redeemer 30A. In this episode, we all have a great conversation on his pastoral ministry, theology on a few subjects, and today's cultural struggle with Christianity.
