Born in sunny South Africa and raised in London, Dr. Michelle Braude qualified as a medical doctor (MBBS) from University College London (UCL) and completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Nutrition at King’s College London. She also completed a year-long research project looking at “Dietary Variability and Methods to Assess Nutrient Intake in Crohn’s Disease” and carried out an elective period in Gastroenterology at the Whittington Hospital London. These provided further opportunities to increase her knowledge and gain practical experience in the wide range of clinical conditions covered by this area of medicine.
Being passionate about nutrition and healthy living, soon after graduating she decided to set up her own nutrition practice, The Food Effect in 2012, which soon became hugely popular thanks to the results and word of mouth from many happy clients.
Michelle combines her knowledge in the fields of medicine and nutrition, as well as her passion for cooking and all things food, to help clients with medical conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and PCOS, as well as those looking to lose weight, improve their diet, and optimize their overall health and well-being.

Determined to overcome my lifelong sentence of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I delved into alternative medicine and nutrition, experimenting on myself to find a solution. After years of countless trials with little success, I discovered The Phil Parker Institute. Through their methodology, I harnessed the powerful tools of neuro-linguistic programming, hypnosis, and life coaching to rewire my brain for the life I wanted.
While my training was just three days, it transformed my life. I went from nearly bedridden to being a regular cross-fitter, adventurer, and international traveler. In 2017, seven years after my initial diagnosis date, I committed to a year-long training program and became an Ironman. I swam 2.4 miles, cycled 112 miles, and ran 22.6 miles in 13 hours 58 minutes.
