Before that, he was head of the Fusion Physics Division at the DIFFER - Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research and responsible for the coordination of nuclear fusion research in the Netherlands. In 2023, he co-founded Frontiers in Energy Innovations. Tony is Chair of the Science and Technology Advisory Committee of General Fusion and a member of the Fusion Expert Committee advising the Bavarian State Government.

In 2015, Octave co-founded Spade Agency, a design firm aspiring to find ideal forms that would allow us to really live in Space, not just survive. Their first client was the Champagne company G.H Mumm. in September of 2018 After three years of research including several Zero-G flights, Octave and his team unveiled their first creation, Mumm Grand Cordon Stellar, a bottle of Champagne for Space, set to be served on privately-owned space exploration company Axiom Space. The project was awarded several design prizes and is currently under further development with French Space agency CNES. Octave is a permanent member of the Space Habitat Technical Committee at the International Astronautical Federation.

Hubbard is also a musician and award-winning author. His book: Exploring Mars: Chronicles from a Decade of Discovery, tells of his years at NASA restructuring the Mars program.

Mike is the veteran of two space flights, the fourth and fifth Hubble Space Telescope servicing missions in 2002 and 2009. He has a team record for the number of hours spacewalking in a single space shuttle mission, and he was also the first person to tweet from space. During his NASA career he received two NASA Space Flight Medals, the NASA Distinguished Service Medal, the American Astronautical Society’s Flight Achievement Award, and the Star of Italian Solidarity. His two books, Spaceman: An Astronaut’s Unlikely Journey to Unlock the Secrets of the Universe and Moonshot: A NASA Astronaut’s Guide to Achieving the Impossible are NYTimes best sellers. A couple of fun facts.
