President Trump's Vice Presidential pick has garnered much attention and speculation over the last few months. What strengths and qualities must be exuded by the candidate that will serve one term with President Trump and then potentially take center stage. Well Mark Halperin is with me today to make the case for his top picks and the reasons behind his choices. Mark shares insight on why a candidate from Florida is not out of the equation and won't necessarily jeopardize the electoral votes. The latest polls show some interesting developments in Virginia, Maine and Minnesota. States have not been in play for Republicans since the 70's and 80's are trending very favorably for President Trump. The biggest news comes out of Iowa where Trump shows a 20 point lead over Biden, if Trump can take Iowa by 20 points then the landscape has changed entirely. Jed Rubenfeld is a professor at Yale Law School and an expert in constitutional law. He is with me today to given an expert analysis on the lawfare used against President Trump. We discuss the case in length, sentencing and the appellate process.In one of the most momentous cases of our time, a former president was convicted of a crime that few understand. The jury was given options as to what President Trump may have been guilty of in a novel legal theory that violates the 6th amendment of the Constitution. This convoluted case included additional crimes that were never clearly explained all the way up to the day of trial. While the Manhattan DA's office run by Alvin Bragg has been consistently reducing felonies to misdemeanors, this was a misdemeanor elevated to a felony by allegedly misreporting invoices, checks and ledger entries in order to conceal 34 payments made. Unironically, Hillary Clinton's campaign had recorded business records as legal expenses in the famous Steele Dossier to which she only received a fine. Bragg ran for election to "Get Trump," Judge Merchan contributed to "Stop Republicans" and Michael Colangelo left the Biden administration to join the prosecution in this case. Hunter Biden's verdict has left a vacuum for the Left and MSM to create a narrative about the justice system being fair and working properly. In a twist of irony President Biden delivered a gun-safety speech calling for additional measures to curb gun violence and increasing background checks to keep guns out of the hands of people like his son. The Hunter Biden laptop is real, the FBI knew it was real the entire time and had possession of it since 2019. This did not stop them from claiming "russian interference" over and over again in the MSM, a potential game-changer for the 2020 election. Biden had a "Weekend At Bernie's" moment at a Juneteenth event on June 10th? The Biden campaign wants to get this guy out there, well this is what happens, he is definitely out there, somewhere. Which brings up the even scarier notion that a vote for Biden is a vote for Kamala, she could never win the presidency on her own and even more doubt from her own party that she could perform the job well if she inherits it. The Left is using the moment to pretend the justice system works while the Biden crime family remains untouched from their foreign business dealings. A facebook post from a juror's cousin was leaked before the verdict was delivered in court. Is this real? Will it lead to a mistrial? Congressman Lee Zeldin is with my today and as a former attorney, he says the Trump defense needs to go on offense to find out about the potential tainted jury in Trump's trial.
