From this business infrastructure John Pierpont bought his way into the railway and steel industries and for every rail station in every town in the US, he also had an accompanying bank. This helped spread his influence country wide.During the financial panic in 1907, after multiple repeated panics in the latter half of the 19th century, JP Morgan and fellow bankers and business men, decided they would put an end to this financial instability. They colluded secretly at the fabled Jekyll Island meeting where the Federal Reserve banking system was born and the yoke of financial control was permanently lobbed around the neck of the U|nited States. Morgan was instrumental in many 20th century feduciary and industrial innovations and reconstructions and his influence is still felt today as one of the architects of the financial system, the boom bust economy, and the eventual crashes that its unstable and unsustainable nature creates. TRUE CRIME - On this episode of Those Conspiracy Guys we talk about one of the longest running kidnap cases ever and how a husband and wife could kidnap a girl off the street outside her own house and keep her incarcerated for 18 years, Jaycee Lee Dugard.In the summer of 1991 Phillip Garrido, a convicted sex offender, and his wife Nancy snatched Jaycee Lee off the street outside her house in Lake Tahoe, California. They drive her 3 hours away and kept her in a prefabricated cell that eventually evolved into a sprawling system of tents and tunnels in their back yard. Jaycee Lee bore Phillip Garrdio two children as a result of the sexual abuse she suffered and they were raised here for the majority of her incarceration.Garrido was a convicted sex offender and some say that he should have been more closely watched by law enforcement. Jaycee Lee herself has talked about her life on TV and in books trying to explain her situation and disspell some of the myths around cases such as this. Smeared as outcasts by the mainstream media an unsavoury picture was painted of this stereotypical student type and the ticking time bomb that lies within. TRUE CRIME - On 5th June 1960 in Finland four teenagers were found dead on the shores of Lake Bodom, just 22 kilometres from the captial Helsinki, in a small area known as Espoo. Between 4 and 6 in the morning someone, or something, stabbed and beat them to death leaving only one survivor and the biggest unsolved murder mystery in Finnish history.With some strange suspects and a survivor in the mix, this case gets weird right at the start. Nils Gustafsson survived the attack and his girlfriend Maili was the most mutilated body of all 4 of the teenagers, not suspicious at all!!
