WOW! Where to start?! Jagna and I know each other for a few years and have a lot in common, like trainings and educations with the SWDI, dogs from the same breeder and more. Jagna also started in SAR and meanwhile trains and prepares dogs for different purposes like scent detection, tracking, verbal directionals and more. She also participated in a month long scholarship at the famous NPA (Norwegians People's Aid) where she learned about mine detection dogs. Apart from that she is involved in organizing webinars with world famous trainers and scientists like Lauryn DeGreef, Paul Bunker, Florian Schneider 🤣, but also international training camps and conventions. Steffen war Diensthundeführer bei der Polizei und hat vor vielen jahren eine Vision in die Tat umgesetzt. Heute betreibt er mit seinem Partner ein großes Sicherheitsunternehmen mit mehreren 100 Mitarbeitern und stellt ebenso eine Einheit von Sprengstoffspürhunden für seine Kunden zu Verfügung. Abseits seiner beruflichen Karriere hat Steffen unterschiedliche Höhen und Tiefen durchlebt und gemeistert, eine spannende Persönlichkeit und für uns ganz bestimmt ein starker Partner für Zukunftsprojekte. Wim De Kinder is a 100% businessman, he used to be a chef and worked all day long, then he even started working dogs in a professional way. I got to know him when we both participated in a 12 month master trainer course at the SWDI, back then still with Jens and Tobias and of course Jessica. Ich bin seit Jahren tierschutzqualifizierter Hundetrainer, selbst mehrmals pro Jahr in der Rolle als kynologischer Sachverständiger aktiv für das Messerli Forschungsinstitut bei staatlichen Prüfungen für Therapiebegleit- und Assistenzhundeteams sowie für Tierschutzqualifizierte Hundetrainer/innen und dennoch habe ich mir erst zuletzt die Frage gestellt "Was genau macht das Messerli eigentlich, wer arbeitet dort und vor allem in welchen Bereichen?". Also recherchierte ich und hatte kurz darauf das Vergnügen mich am Gelände der Veterinärmedizinischen Uni Wien mit Herrn Univ. Prof. Dr. Ludwig Huber zu treffen. Ein angenehmer "Kerl", offen und bemüht sich meinen Fragen zu stellen und für uns zu beantworten. Der Herr Professor ist aktuell Leiter des Messerli Forschungsinstitutes sowie der "Verlgeichenden Kognitionsforschung", welche einen von drei Hauptforschungsbereichen des Messerlis beschreibt und welche weitere spezifische Forschungsbereiche beinhaltet so wie zum Beispiel das Cleverdog Lab, das Wolfscience Center und viele mehr! Freut euch auf diesen Einblick in einen Bereich, von dem wir uns in Zukunft praktische Erkenntnisse und Aufschluss für Fragen unseres Trainings mit Hunden erhoffen.
