How to Travel to Poland on Points with Kristie Gonzalez | Ep 66
(Disclaimer: Click 'more' to see ad disclosure)
Kristie Gonzalez of @2travelingengineers is a native Texan living in Poland. When her husband took a two-year work assignment, Kristie decided to take a break from her full-time engineering job and make the move with her husband and dog. She now manages 2TravelingEngineers.com a site about her and her husband's travels, points/miles recommendations and expat life tips. In this episode, Kristie and I discuss their life as expats in Poland, and how to visit Poland using points and miles.
Whenever you're traveling abroad, make sure you use a card that has no foreign transaction fees. Personally, my husband and I like to use the Chase Sapphire Reserve for this very reason. The Chase Sapphire Reserve also comes with a $300 travel credit each year and earns 10 points per dollar when you spend on hotels, car rentals, or Chase Dining through the Chase travel portal! Remember, never ever apply for a credit card through Google, always be sure to ask your favorite friends and travel creators if they have a referral link that you can use to help them earn more points and commissions!

How to Travel to Rome on Points with Lindsay Mukkadam | Ep 65
(Disclaimer: Click 'more' to see ad disclosure)
Lindsay Mukkadam at @onegirlwandering is a solo travel pro and is obsessed with seeing as much of the world as she can. She's in love with planning trips and dedicated to making sure everyone feels like they have access to travel the world, no matter their budget.
In this episode, Lindsay and I discuss how to address some of the hurdles of solo travel, as well as how she planned a fantastic trip to Rome using points and miles!
If you're excited to start your points and miles journey, one of the most popular first credit cards is the Chase Sapphire Preferred, oftentimes referred to as a "gateway" card. Chase points are flexible and transfer to a number of different travel partners, including Emirates, Hyatt, United, and many of the other airline and hotel partners mentioned during this episode if you are interested in planning a trip to Italy! Remember, never ever apply for a credit card through Google, always be sure to ask your favorite friends and travel creators if they have a referral link that you can use to help them earn more points and commissions!

More Creative Ways to Earn Points with Eric Manaog | Ep 64
(Disclaimer: Click 'more' to see ad disclosure)
Eric Manaog from @pointsandtravels and his wife Mary Ann migrated from the Philippines to Connecticut 2004 with their 3 kids and have embraced the world of traveling for next to no cost using points and miles.
In this episode, Eric and I discuss how his family was able to earn millions of points quickly so that they could travel in business class by purchasing different gift cards. We also discuss which of the methods mentioned in this episode are no longer available, and which ones he's still able to do today.
One of the most popular ways to earn a lot of points by purchasing gift cards is with the Chase Ink Business Cash card. This card earns 5x points at office supply stores and with other categories such as cable, phone, internet, and more. Staples often runs sales where they waive the activation fees on Visa gift cards. That means, you could use a Chase Ink Business Cash card to purchase a fee-free Visa gift card and then use that Visa gift card almost anywhere, effectively earning 5x on anything! As Eric mentions in this episode, you don't need a large business to qualify for cards like this. Side gigs such as tutoring, babysitting, UberDriving, selling on Ebay, and many other part-time activities have qualified people for business credit cards, which have fantastic perks! Remember, never ever apply for a credit card on Google. Always use a friend or creator's link to apply to help us earn points or commissions. If you're interested in supporting this show when you apply for your next card, check out the links in the show notes. And now, on with the show!

Southwest Companion Pass + A Family Trip to Hawaii with Jessica Long | Ep 63
(Disclaimer: Click 'more' to see ad disclosure)
Jessica Long from @ourlonglifeblog is a points enthusiast, photographer, and Mom that loves to share her wins on her blog and Instagram Our Long Life.
In this episode, Jessica and I discuss her first-ever points redemption for a fantastic family vacation to Hawaii and how her family is able to leverage the Southwest Companion Pass to get BOGO flights for up to 2 years.
If you're interested in getting the Southwest Companion Pass, now is the time! One strategy is to get a Southwest Personal Card and earn the 40k point introductory bonus and the Southwest Performance Business Card to earn the 80k point introductory bonus. Between the bonuses and the points you'll earn from hitting the minimum spends, you'll net more than the 125k points you need in order to earn Companion Pass. Once you have earned 125k points this year, you'll have BOGO flights for the rest of 2022 and all of 2023! Remember, whenever you're looking to get a new card, always use a friend or creator's links to help them earn points or commissions. Reuniting Refugee Families with Points with Miles4Migrants | Ep 58
(Disclaimer: Click 'more' to see ad disclosure)
Seth Stanton is a cofounder of @Miles4Migrants; he's also a credit card churner and a former moderator of the /r/churning subreddit. Today, he's joined by Patrick from the Miles4Migrants award booking team on today's episode.
In this episode, Seth, Patrick, and I discuss how the Miles4Migrants non-profit organization uses donated points and money to reunite refugee and asylum-seeking families all over the world, the increase in demand since the fall of Kabul this past August, and how you can help these refugee families this holiday season and all year round.
Whether you are looking to donate miles or use them for your own travels, flexible points are the easiest to work with, and one of the most popular cards for people starting out in the award travel hobby is the Chase Sapphire Preferred, which has many different airline and hotel transfer partners. Remember, never ever apply for cards through Google - always use a friend or creator's links to help spread the love of referral points and commissions.

Planning a Family Points Trip to the UK and Greece with Jess Field | Ep 57
(Disclaimer: Click 'more' to see ad disclosure)
Jess Field from @madepossiblebypoints began playing with points and miles in 2015, and hasn't looked back since! After the birth of her daughter, she knew she wanted to travel more and show her the world, but wasn't sure how to do it on a budget. She quickly learned that her desire to travel was possible with points and miles, and now loves sharing my passion with others!
In this episode, Jess and I discuss how she booked a couple of award trips to the UK for her family of 5, and also how she is planning a luxury trip to Greece this upcoming year, including business class flights and a hotel worth more than $1600 per night!
One of the cards that was most instrumental in Jess' ability to book these business class flights to Greece is the Citi Premier card, which earns flexible points that can be transferred to programs such as Turkish Miles and Smiles --- a lesser-known program that has tons of hidden award travel deals. This card is especially worth looking into if you are over 5/24. Check out the link in the show notes if you are interested in learning more about this card. Remember, never ever apply for cards through Google - always use a friend or creator's links to help spread the love of referral points and commissions. And now, on with the show!
