Finding What's Next With Kasey

Kasey, LPCC knew from early in her career that she didn’t want the average private practice.  An unexpected pregnancy complication opened her eyes to the need for residual income and after her daughter was born she set out with fervor to achieve it. It wasn’t always easy.  Kasey started out as many do--doing everything by herself and soon realized that she was running on adrenaline.  She started outsourcing, but then found out the hard way that communication and an understanding of what your staff is doing for you is vital.  She also found that having the right team around you in crisis can give you the strength to rebuild and thrive. Kasey now has a large group practice with 16 locations, has doubled her income each year since opening her doors.  She put all this experience in her first book “Fix This Next: For Healthcare Providers” so she can help others realize the value of their time and maximizing it to build the practice they are dreaming of. You can find out more about Kasey HERE. Forging Into the Unknown with Ellyn

Ellyn, Ph.D., always knew she wanted to make a mark on this world. In college, her strong desire for social change led to a decision between politics and therapy, both of which she loved.  But she found magic she never expected when she combined both and became a pioneer in the couples therapy niche in spite of several naysayers.Having literally “wrote the book” on the subject of couples therapy (her textbook is still used in many Master’s programs today), you would think that success came easy, but Ellyn shares how it was persistence and the value of relationships, even those formed before she graduated, that helped to grow her business.Desiring to continue to improve the world around her, Ellyn chose to move her work beyond the couch and train other therapists to work with couples. She shares how she and her husband juggled hours, travel, training, and babies to build their dream practice The Couple’s Institute in Menlo Park, California.REQUEST TO BE A GUEST OR FEATURE KELLY OR MIRANDA ON YOUR OWN PODCAST!
