She holds degrees in transpersonal and transcultural psychology. She serves on the board of several European professional Societies. Including the European Transpersonal Association (EUROTAS), and the Mind: European Foundation for Psychedelic Science. Dr. Hess discusses her career trajectory and the pivotal moment when she survived the 2004 Tsunami. This experience and the near-death experience that attended it were instrumental in her becoming a transpersonal psychologist. We also discuss the state of research into psychedelic therapies in Europe, for which she serves as faculty for the teaching of integrating these medicines into psychotherapy.
