On episode 20 of the Chicago Psychology Podcast Dr. Hoye interviews Kyle Miller about Relational Life Therapy. Relational Life Therapy (RLT) is a couple's therapy developed by marriage and family therapist Terry Real.   Kyle and I discuss the principles and how it relates to the development of better, more connected communication between couples experiencing difficulties in their relationships. Kyle also talks about why he has chosen this modality of working with couples over other available treatments, and he paints a picture of how this therapy unfolds in sessions.   We also touch base on men’s difficulties expressing emotions and how this can play out and be helped in psychotherapy. This is a cordial conversation between two colleagues, and is one that will be helpful for the consumer as well as the mental health professional.   Kyle Miller is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. On episode 19 of the Chicago Psychology Podcast I am joined by Dr. Bernadette Blin, and Dr. Regina Hess.  Dr. Blin is a Clinical and Social Psychologist.She is also a Transpersonal Psychotherapist, Gestalt-therapist, Teacher and Supervisor, and the president of EUROTAS, the Transpersonal Association of Europe.  Dr. Hess isa nurse, clinical psychologist, a Gestalt and Transpersonal psychotherapist, researcher, educator, and supervisor as well.
